I was moved by the sunset from the dining area on the 7th floor. The sashimi boat platter in the Plan was very fresh and delicious. The small pork hot pot was also excellent, and I really enjoyed it with beer and sake. The bath facilities are a bit old, but the water was great—my skin felt smooth, and I could relax and warm up thoroughly. From the hallway, I could see Mt. Chokai, and it looked as if the morning sun rose from its summit, which gave me energy.\nMt. Chokai, the sea, and Yuurari—I'd love to visit again.

This is a Hotel where you can truly experience Aso! The five peaks of Aso seen from the 7th-floor panoramic bath were amazing. Being able to enjoy the Onsen while looking at the beautiful mountains was the best. As mentioned in other Reviews, the initial explanation at the front desk felt brief, but they provided the minimum necessary information, so it wasn’t a problem. Our Room faced the town side, but it had a nice view of the outer rim mountains.

So this is what people mean by “Shakotan Blue.” I was moved by the mesmerizing waves that draw you in. A vast natural setting surrounded by the sound of the sea. We stocked up on ingredients in Iwanai and enjoyed cooking. Bringing our own seasonings was a good idea. We forgot cooking oil, so we cooked without it. There are four large mugs, along with glasses and plates for four people.

I hesitated a bit because it seemed more geared toward younger guests, but my old friend and I took a two-person trip just to relax somewhere with an ocean view. All the staff were kind and provided attentive service. This time we stayed in a cottage, and the ocean views were amazing both from the wooden deck and from the Room. We had BBQ for dinner on the wooden deck, and they kindly guided us then as well, so we had a great time. For breakfast, we were impressed by their commitment to using vegetables and eggs from 753. Next time, we’ll stay here with our family. Thank you very much.

I visit Miyako Island every year, but I never realized there was such a beautiful villa on Ikema Island. As shown in the images on IKYU's "Accommodation Introduction," the red-tiled roof and white walls of the building stood out beautifully against the blue sky and sea. The exterior alone was breathtaking, but the ocean view from the room was stunning as well. The private pool seemed to be one of the largest on Miyako Island, spacious and deep enough for adults to swim comfortably, with crystal-clear water that was incredibly clean. While some furnishings in the building and room felt slightly aged, they added charm and made for a comfortable stay. The staff were all cheerful and friendly, making it a very pleasant experience overall. Next time, I hope to visit during a warmer season when the water temperature is more comfortable. The machiya-style Accommodation was wonderful. The bathroom was clean and easy to use, and the bed was fluffy, so I slept very well. The sea is nearby, and the quiet, charming streetscape made it a relaxing place to stay. The stairs were steep and a little scary, but it also added to the machiya atmosphere, which I appreciated.

The ocean stretches out right in front of you, and the sunsets were so beautiful they felt truly cleansing. All of the staff were kind, making this a very comfortable Accommodation. Above all, the meals were delicious, and we enjoyed plenty of fresh seafood—an unforgettable, happy time. We’d love to come back again soon to relax.

Your thoughtful hospitality was wonderful, and we felt right at home! Everything we could have wanted was provided, so we were able to relax and enjoy our time freely without being tied to any plans. Thank you. Our two older children also had a great time with the manga and table games. The bathroom was spacious and very relaxing. Our daughter, who prefers showers, was happy she could quickly take a shower as well. Buu-chan the cat was absolutely adorable. We’d love to stay again. Thank you very much!

Kappo Ryokan Nihonkai Dinner: Boat Platter Enjoyed a luxurious meal with crab, sashimi, and clam rice, leaving us completely satisfied. The Room offered a great view of the sea.

Following last year, we stayed again this year for a Multiple Night Stay. It feels less like staying in Okinawa and more like living there, which is wonderful. The complimentary can of jasmine tea per night is very convenient. After I mentioned in the Review section last time that the first-floor bed springs were too firm, it had been improved this time, which I really appreciated.

Check-in was easy, and we were able to relax with the family. The bath is a bit shallow, but it is sufficient. We would like to use it again.

The facility was excellent, but there were issues with missing supplies and lack of management. - Despite being informed in advance that outdoor sandals would not be provided, they were available upon arrival after purchasing and bringing our own. - Water leakage from the air conditioner vent above the living room entrance. - Burnt-out light bulb in the living room floor lamp. - Poor drainage in the 2nd-floor bathroom, making it difficult to drain water smoothly. - No toilet paper or spare rolls in the 2nd-floor toilet. - Malfunctioning massage chair on the 2nd floor. - Complimentary water was stated as 500ml per person + one 2L bottle; however, for a group of four staying two nights, only eight 500ml bottles and one 2L bottle were provided. - No spare paper towels in the kitchen. - Insufficient towels provided overall. - Only a small amount of used olive oil available in the kitchen supplies. Attempts to contact via listed numbers resulted only in being told that confirmation with responsible staff would be needed without immediate answers—likely due to outsourcing management responsibilities—but stricter oversight is necessary as these issues inconvenience guests significantly.

The Room is clean and spacious, very satisfying. The service was decent; the man in the morning wasn't very friendly but not unpleasant either. The price is relatively affordable for the island, making it a good choice. However, in my case, while the Wi-Fi worked in the lobby, it disconnected when I went to my Room, and even after asking the staff, it couldn't be fixed. Still, it's a good HOTEL.

I stayed to visit the spring training camp of professional baseball. Although I was out all day, the room was so lovely that I regret not spending more time relaxing in it. Next time, I plan to bring a SUP during the warmer season and paddle at the beach right in front. The room had high ceilings and felt more spacious than its actual size, with clean and roomy washroom and bathroom areas creating a comfortable and pleasant space. (The bath is a jet bath!) On the first floor, there was also a wonderful shared space where you could enjoy delicious drinks. The friendly owner engaged in lively baseball discussions with me, staying up late for an enjoyable time. This property has only two rooms, offering quietness and privacy; however, there are many dining options nearby as well as convenience stores and supermarkets making it a convenient location. I've visited Okinawa many times but am very satisfied to have discovered such an excellent property!

The handmade breakfast was delicious. I would love to stay again.

I stayed here for triathlon training. As it’s a private guesthouse, it’s not a resort, but Maehama Beach is nearby and I was able to do plenty of cycling practice. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and gave me the energy I needed. I’d like to stay again when I come back to train. Also, the sunset from the nearby park was amazing.

If I had to mention a downside, the exterior and interior felt a bit worn, which made the atmosphere seem a little intimidating. However, the bath was clean and the Onsen water flows continuously, so it was amazing! The meals were delicious with no complaints, and since it was a buffet we really enjoyed it! One more thing… it was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t connect external devices to the TV. It can’t be helped given the Facility setup, but the game console we brought ended up being useless. We also wanted to mirror our smartphone screen on the TV, but that wasn’t possible either. We played cards and table tennis with my siblings instead, but it was still a little disappointing.

The view from the window, though across the road, was very beautiful, and the sunrise was stunning. The staff responded kindly to various requests, and during our Multiple Night Stay, it was very comfortable. We also enjoyed a BBQ with ingredients we bought ourselves. I would love to stay here again! As a side note, if you stay here, I highly recommend trying the bread from Bakery Misaki at the nearby Calico Resort for breakfast!

We were satisfied and found the house comfortable, but the Plan description did not provide enough information. The BBQ Plan only says to bring your own ingredients, but no tableware or other items are provided. We do some camping, so we brought what we needed, but we wondered if some guests might arrive with only ingredients as instructed.
