This time, since I wanted an Onsen close to Yonago Airport, I chose Kaike Onsen. I was satisfied with the Room, the Onsen, and the meals. However, upon arrival: There was only one person at the front desk, and no one came to greet me at the entrance. (For some reason, when I left they saw me off the whole time?) I stopped in front of the entrance to unload my luggage, then parked my car on my own in a distant parking lot. When I entered, they were assisting the previous guest and didn’t say “Welcome” or even “Please wait,” which made me feel like I wasn’t being welcomed. I wanted to come again during crab season, but…

Thank you for your hospitality the other day. When I told you I can’t eat raw fish, thank you for preparing alternative dishes. The food looked great and tasted wonderful, and we also enjoyed the complimentary extra dish. The bath warmed me up so well that I stayed warm for a long time afterward. The detox water after the bath was also delicious. It was great to be offered a draft beer as a welcome drink at check-in—it was the perfect refreshing drink after a long drive. I would love to stay with you again.

This time, I stayed with my son and his wife. The small, guest-only bath is truly wonderful and incredibly relaxing. At the shop, they made me a discount card, so I could shop at a great price. The meals are delicious, and above all, I love the staff’s hospitality and smiles. I stay here whenever I return to my hometown, and every time the attentive service is consistently excellent—it feels like a miracle to be able to stay at this price. Having a free-flowing natural Onsen in the Room that you can enjoy 24 hours a day is truly luxurious. The night we stayed, we experienced torrential rain and thunder for the first time and felt the power of the Aso mountains, yet even then we could hear bush warblers singing. It was a trip where we fully enjoyed nature. The hosts were wonderful people, and I understand why this Accommodation is so hard to book. Breakfast was generous, and above all, every dish was delicious—another highlight of our stay. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

We requested a birthday cake for our three-year-old grandchild at dinner. Since it was a buffet, it was difficult to coordinate the timing for all seven of us to be seated, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Two female foreign staff members kindly sang “Happy Birthday” and took lots of photos for us. Our whole family was truly moved. Thank you very much. We also really enjoyed the pool. Best of all, we could use the Onsen towels at the pool as well, and being able to spin-dry our swimsuits in a simple dehydrator was a huge help. The view from our Room was amazing too. Our three-year-old grandchild even cried after we got home, saying they didn’t want to go back home, so I think they had an amazing time. We would love to visit again in summer. Thank you very much.

On this trip, we made a Reservation for three twin Rooms for three groups: my son and his wife with their infant, another family, and my third son. The in-room bath was a little small, but it was separate from the toilet, which made it easy to bathe our infant safely in the Room. The view of the sea in Beppu from the Room was also very beautiful. The Onsen was not too hot and felt great. The shower had a ReFa shower head. There was a wide variety of food, and my younger son and daughters-in-law were very satisfied. The staff kindly spoke to my eldest son’s child (who is still only two) and even lent us some toys. They also lent my other daughter-in-law, who was holding an infant, a basket-like baby bed so the baby could lie down, which made her very happy. Thank you to the lounge staff. I was also surprised that guests go barefoot throughout the Hotel—there were no slippers at all. It was very relaxing, and even our toddler felt safe walking around as if we were at home. We were extremely satisfied and would love to stay again if we have another opportunity.

This was our first time staying here, and we were very well taken care of. From the warm welcome upon arrival, we were served tea and delicious sweets before being shown to our Room. The guest Room had a clean, modern Japanese style, and we were truly impressed by the wonderful view of the sea from anywhere in the Room—even from the bath. In addition, the Onsen bath had silky, slightly thick water that felt great and left our skin smooth; we enjoyed it many times and were completely satisfied. Both dinner and breakfast were more than enough in quantity, and every dish was delicious. We initially thought the dining area seating might be close together, but it wasn’t at all; we enjoyed chatting while listening to explanations about the dishes from the proprietress and staff. We had been looking for an Accommodation where we could simply relax, enjoy great food, and soak in good hot water—and this was a wonderful Accommodation where we could truly take our time. We’re happy to have found an Accommodation that makes us think, “We definitely want to come again in a different season.”

I stayed here three times in one year. It’s my favorite Accommodation, where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful stay in a quiet location. The hostess and her husband are so friendly and warm, and I looked forward to every visit. The food is always truly delicious. This time I stayed for two nights, and I was deeply impressed by how thoughtfully they changed the dishes each day. Waking up early to watch the sunrise over the sea was also wonderful! The shared spaces were kept clean and comfortable as well. After traveling around Ehime Prefecture over the past year, choosing this place again at the end was absolutely the right decision. This was our second stay, following last year. Spacious and comfortable—our 7- and 5-year-old kids were thrilled and kept saying, “This place is the best!” Last year breakfast was Japanese-style, but this time it was Western-style, which seemed easier for the kids to enjoy.

It’s not a new Hotel, but it was kept clean and there were no issues. The meals were delicious. However, I’d like to see more menu options, even if the price is slightly higher.

This is our fourth stay, and everything—the staff, the meals, and the cleanliness of the Room—is outstanding. Whenever we come to Awaji, this is the only place we want to stay, so we will continue to choose this Accommodation. We have a dog, and they are very welcoming. It’s also a quiet environment where we can’t hear other dogs, so both our dog and we can relax with peace of mind. Having an on-site dog run is also a big help. The meals are exciting every time—carefully crafted course dishes that truly impress us. The staff are kind as well, and we always have a pleasant stay. We always say, “Let’s stay here again next time!” We’ll be back again.

Arriving at the Hotel and being greeted with “Welcome back” makes me feel relieved every time. This time, I stayed for two nights and enjoyed a relaxing soak at Sukayu Onsen (the sulfur is excellent). I was also able to use the Hotel’s Onsen without it being crowded, which helped soothe both body and mind. Hakkoda Hotel is famous for its French cuisine, but the Japanese meals also reflect the chef’s dedication. Each visit brings new discoveries for both the eyes and the palate, and I always look forward to it. This time, they also accommodated my request regarding portion size, so I could enjoy everything deliciously while savoring it with both eyes and taste buds. The drink explanations (wine, etc.) were also thorough, which I appreciated. That said, since the dining area isn’t very large, I personally hope things remain calm enough to relax as they are now. I was impressed by how hard the new staff members are working, and the long-time staff continue to provide a reassuring sense of comfort. I plan to visit again in late autumn, and I look forward to seeing you then as well.

All the staff were kind, and the Accommodation was not too large, making it easy for my elderly parents to get around. We were able to use the second-floor lounge many times, and it was great that the dining area was also close by. The Room was clean, bright, spacious, and very relaxing. All of the meals were delicious. When there are a lot of people in the bath, it can feel a bit small, but it wasn’t a problem. From our first phone call to the very end, the staff were gentle and I think that really enhanced how wonderful this Accommodation is. I would love to stay again.

The Room was spacious with an ocean view, and we had a very pleasant stay. The kids enjoyed the pool in the bath area, and we were also able to use games like Othello—putting our phones away and spending a fun time full of laughter. One small disappointment was that the amenity loungewear felt a bit worn, and the ties were loose so it didn’t fit securely.
