A luxurious, unhurried escape right in front of the sea. The private pool, sauna, and relaxation area were fantastic—an ideal space to enjoy without worrying about anyone around you. Spending time at a leisurely pace while taking in the ocean view was truly soothing, making it easy to forget everyday life and fully unwind. Rather than packing your schedule with sightseeing, this villa is perfect for those who want to slow down and simply enjoy being here. It was a wonderful villa—luxurious yet somehow calming—and a place I’d love to return to. Thank you!

I’d been curious about this place for a while, and this was my first stay. The atmosphere felt like a condominium in Hawaii or Australia. There’s no kitchen, but the space and layout have that kind of feel. It has underfloor heating, so it seems like it will be warm in the coming season as well. The meals were delicious, and the portions were just right. Also, I logged into YouTube to watch something and forgot to log out. When I called, they kindly said they would log out for me—thank you so much. Thank you as well for all your help regarding the bath. I’d love to visit again!

We stayed as a family of four. As we were traveling with my elderly mother who has difficulty walking, the hotel kindly lent us a wheelchair. Everyone was very considerate and helpful. We wanted beds rather than futons, but many hotels only offer up to three beds per room, so we were debating booking two rooms or choosing a Japanese-Western style room where someone would sleep on a futon. This hotel had a four-bed room, which was a key reason we chose it. Before entering the room, I worried it might be cramped with the beds pushed together, but it was actually very spacious and impressively clean. The view from the room was also wonderful, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The building does feel a bit old, but considering the reasonable price, we felt it offered excellent value for money. The buffet meals were delicious with plenty of variety—especially the grilled seafood (hamayaki) and the DIY seafood rice bowl (kaisendon), which were outstanding. I would like to give full marks overall; however, there were some steps in certain areas that made it not fully barrier-free. The bathroom floor was slippery in places, there was only one handrail in the bath area, and when the men’s and women’s baths switched between night and morning, there were differences in amenities—having the same amenities available in both would have been better. For these reasons, I deducted some points. Overall, we were satisfied and would recommend this hotel to others.

The Room and bathroom were very clean. The coffee was especially delicious. Thank you. However, the refrigerator under the TV did not cool properly, and the mineral water remained lukewarm until the next day (even after adjusting the temperature settings).

The Room is thoughtfully designed and compact, but what mattered most to me was having a private toilet and bath in the Room rather than shared facilities. Both nights we had dinner on the rooftop terrace—truly the best seat in the house. Spending time there while watching the sunset became an unforgettable memory. The owner couple are friendly and give you just the right amount of space. At first I wasn’t sure what to talk about in the lounge, but if you happen to run into other guests, it’s usually just a simple greeting. Some people will casually start a conversation, which actually made it feel even more comfortable. The washing machine is free to use, and there are plenty of places to hang laundry. I want to keep it a secret, but it was such a wonderful Accommodation that I really want you to visit. I’ll definitely be back!

The open-air bath was absolutely wonderful!! Breakfast—both Japanese and Western—offered a great variety of Gunma ingredients, and everything was delicious. I was especially impressed by the omelet made in the open kitchen; they customized the seasoning and sauce to my liking. Of course, it tasted great! Unfortunately, we weren’t blessed with good weather. The fog was so thick that we couldn’t enjoy the view from the Room or from the open-air bath, and I wasn’t able to see Mt. Asama or the surrounding mountain range I had been looking forward to—which was very disappointing. Perhaps because of the bad weather, there was a cute little teru-teru bozu placed in our Room, which really warmed my heart. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Here are a few things I noticed: It would have been nice if shower caps and hairbrushes were provided in the bathroom. I had breakfast by the window overlooking the golf course, but I noticed a spider web near the top of the window area. (There were quite a few on the outside as well.)

A trip to Itoshima with three high school friends! We were unexpectedly upgraded to a corner suite!! Ocean views from the window, the bath, and even the bed. All the staff were kind and welcoming. Next time, I’d like to stay here with my family.

I stay here often. Although it faces Route 58, the Room overlooks the ocean and is quiet. It’s conveniently located for getting anywhere. The front desk staff are kind, and they also offer happy hour in the evening. I’d like to stay again.

From check-in until our car left the Ryokan, the staff naturally came outside to welcome and see us off. I think there are very few Ryokan or Hotels that do this. The preparation of the futon bedding and in-Room dining was pleasant, and it made for a wonderful stay. Every dish was delicious, and the portions were very satisfying. If I had one request, I would be happy if there were a bit more local vegetables—especially for guests in their 50s like us. This may be a matter of preference, but I felt the miso soup would have been even better if it were served a little hotter. Similarly, I would have preferred the water in the large public bath to be slightly hotter. What impressed me most was how thoroughly everything was cleaned. Even at expensive Hotels or Ryokan, you often notice dust in hidden areas or peeling wallpaper and small flaws here and there, but everything visible was very clean. Precisely because it isn’t brand-new, it felt especially comfortable. It was my first stay here, but I feel like I got great value. My only concern is that many of the staff seemed to be around my age or a bit older, so I hope this Ryokan will continue for many years and be passed on to the next generation so guests can keep enjoying it. I made a Reservation for a Plan that included two meals and all-you-can-drink alcohol. It was reasonably priced, yet the food and draft beer were delicious, with a great variety of drinks. Bottled Wilkinson carbonated water was provided, and I almost felt bad opening a new bottle for each glass of soda mix. The staff were extremely kind as well. I’ve used Yahoo Travel for many stays in Japan, but this is the first time I’ve wanted to leave a Review—highly recommended!

Thank you again for taking such good care of us. With its excellent location beside the approach to the shrine and within walking distance of Izumo Taisha, along with the Facility lovingly restored from a charming building from days gone by and the wonderful hospitality of all the staff, we were able to spend a truly pleasant time. Even though we visit again at almost the same time each year, the meals are different every time—delicious dishes that highlight local production for local consumption and are also a delight to look at—and once again we finished everything. If I may make one small request: as I get older, it can be difficult to read in the dim, atmospheric lighting. It would be very helpful if you could provide a light stand (even as a loan item) so guests can read books more easily. We look forward to visiting again next year. Thank you very much.

This was my first stay here (visit date: August 17), and it turned into a truly wonderful experience that far exceeded my expectations. I arrived around 4:00 PM, and the staff welcomed me warmly with smiles. From the moment before check-in, I could already feel their outstanding hospitality. When showing me to my Room, they even told me the sunset time for that day—such thoughtful attention to detail. I took a walk along the beach right in front of the Accommodation before sunset, and the pleasant sea breeze was incredibly refreshing. After the walk, I enjoyed a bath in my Room with a beach view. The sunset over the Genkai Sea from there was simply breathtaking—an unforgettable panorama! I also bathed at night and again in the morning; spending time surrounded by clear ocean views and soothing waves was pure relaxation at its best. The sushi kaiseki dinner “MURASAKI” was exceptional from start to finish, filled with care and craftsmanship throughout. Every dish made wonderful use of seasonal ingredients—such as lightly seared locally caught grunt fish from Genkai, steamed longtooth grouper custard-style, and overnight-dried sweetfish whose charcoal aroma stood out beautifully. The main course of Saga beef grilled on magnolia leaves with miso was superb, as were the three-tuna tasting and tilefish served with citrus vinegar. Even dessert—from Karatsu milk and cheese pudding—was deeply satisfying; it was an outstanding course overall. Breakfast surprised me even more. Beautifully arranged dishes were presented in a two-tiered jubako box; everything tasted amazing, with a level of luxury and quality far beyond what you would expect from “breakfast.” Thanks to the staff’s attentive yet comfortable service throughout, I started my day feeling truly happy and fulfilled. The location, spectacular baths with incredible views, exquisite cuisine, and warm hospitality—all of it is perfect at this exceptional Accommodation. I will definitely be back again.
