We were able to stay at Kashiwaya again this year as a family, and we had a truly wonderful time. With only a few Rooms, we hardly ran into other guests even in the baths, so we could quietly enjoy the excellent waters of Bessho Onsen. The meals are gently seasoned and make the most of local ingredients, and no matter when we visit, it’s a mysterious Accommodation where we always sleep soundly at night. We look forward to visiting again.

My mother, who stayed with me and uses a wheelchair, received thoughtful and warm support, which was a great help. I only get to see my mother, who lives far away, a few times a year. I’m truly glad we were able to spend our precious time together here in comfort and at ease. My mother was very happy as well, so we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

This is my fourth stay, and each time has been better than the last. In addition to the exceptional hospitality each staff member shows to every guest, you can also feel their dedication to continually improving the Accommodation, and I discover something new with every visit. Since we traveled to Miyazaki despite the bad weather, we decided to take it easy, and this was the perfect relaxing space. Surrounded by soothing greenery, with a spacious lobby, lounge, and Room, I felt my mind truly unwind. We chose the breakfast-only plan; aside from the main dish, everything else was brought to us after ordering. As someone who isn’t fond of buffets, I really appreciated it, and everything was delicious. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your thoughtful emails even before our stay. On the day, our flight was suddenly canceled and we had to take the ferry, but you quickly adjusted the rental car arrangements. The food was cooked right in front of us, and both the taste and portions were excellent; the drinks were delicious too. The hot spring water quality was great, and we were able to truly relax in both body and mind. Everything was perfect!

From the moment we boarded the elevator to the Ryokan from in front of Sounzan Station, it was an exciting experience. The Accommodation and all the staff welcomed us with a warm atmosphere, and everything—the Room, the carefully prepared meals, the Onsen, and the views—was wonderfully soothing. We were able to spend a slow, quiet, luxurious time. Thank you very much.

We visited for a family trip to celebrate our daughter’s marriage. As it was formerly an art museum, we were overwhelmed by the meticulously designed building by Tadao Ando and the many artworks displayed throughout the property. The Room was extremely comfortable, and the pool we had been looking forward to was wonderful—we were able to fully enjoy this extraordinary space. We expected Western cuisine, but instead were delighted by beautifully refined Japanese dishes. The drink pairings matched to each course were perfect, and every dish moved us. The congratulatory wedding cake we had ordered was also truly delicious and became a wonderful keepsake. We sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality of all the staff. This is a superb Hotel where architecture, art, and food are all in harmony, and we would love to stay again.

From the beautifully maintained greenery at the entrance, we immediately felt a wonderful atmosphere and looked forward to our stay. Just as expected, the hospitality, cuisine, Onsen, and Room were all excellent. The meals were beautifully presented with lovely tableware and staging, and the dishes made with many local ingredients were truly delicious. We also appreciated the complimentary sake for my birthday. The attendant who took care of us was kind and warm-hearted, which made us feel very comfortable. This stay reminded us once again how wonderful Yamagata Prefecture is.

From welcome to farewell, the hospitality was outstanding, and every staff member assisted us sincerely at a very high level. The property is quiet, calm, and comfortable—hard to believe you’re in Ginza. A highly functional Room where attention to detail is evident throughout and everything feels thoughtfully designed. We also appreciated the semi-open-air style indoor bath spacious enough to lie back in, as well as the dimmable lighting system in the washroom. Above all, the cuisine was exceptional—fresh ingredients paired with unexpected combinations and seasonings that delighted us. The rooftop footbath and free-flow drinks were perfect for us. With not a single negative point during our stay, we can’t stop thinking about visiting other “Fufu” properties. Next time, we might choose “Jogashima.”

For the first time in five years, I came by myself this time. At home, I’m always thinking about what I have to do and rarely get a chance to truly relax, but the time I spent at your auberge made me want to pick up books that caught my interest and listen to music I don’t usually hear. It felt wonderfully refreshing—like stepping out of everyday life. The food, of course, was more than satisfying and truly worthy of being called an auberge. Thank you very much!

I recently stayed at Ki no Ma. As my ancestors are from Omi, I visited this time and felt a joy as if I had met them by staying in a historic building connected to the legacy of the Omi merchants. The warm hospitality was wonderful, and above all, the meals were outstanding. The combination of fresh, carefully selected ingredients and the chef’s skill is truly moving. This is a highly recommended Accommodation, and I would definitely like to stay again.

I visited again for the first time in about four years. Every area was thoroughly cleaned, and the Room was exceptionally spotless. For example, even the glass on the glass-fronted dish cabinet in the Room was shining—of course, so were the glasses. The mirrors, glass doors, and even the stainless-steel toilet paper holder in the restroom were gleaming, without a single fingerprint. Every large public bath was immaculate as well. All of the food was made with incredibly fresh ingredients—I’m amazed at how they managed to source everything. The staff were modest yet wonderfully pleasant; just being here makes me happy. Katsuragi Kitano-maru is a space that goes beyond “the best.”

Everything—from the hospitality and the Room to the dinner—was outstanding, and we were completely satisfied. First, the matcha tea and sweets served as a welcome were delicious. The steak kaiseki dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, the meat was tender and very tasty, and although the portions were generous, we finished everything. The herbal tea also had a wonderful aroma and was very relaxing. Their commitment to ingredients from Noto really came through, and you could feel their love for Noto. The service was also excellent. The Room was just the right size, and we appreciated having a large table. When visiting Kanazawa, I would definitely recommend this Accommodation to many people. I would love to stay here again.

We stayed here a few years ago, and returned again because my husband said he “definitely wants to come back.” The welcome sweets—warabi mochi—were so delicious that we bought some as souvenirs. The tatami flooring in the corridors and even inside the elevator was very comfortable, and the open-air bath felt like soaking right in a Japanese garden. Dinner was excellent; we asked for a smaller portion, but it was more than enough. The Room was spacious, and the sunlit table by the window being a sunken kotatsu made it especially relaxing. Many Accommodations ask guests to bring towels from their Room to the public bath, so being able to go empty-handed felt wonderful. Breakfast was also very tasty. We had planned to leave at a leisurely pace, but there were thunderstorms and heavy rain from midnight onward, and we ended up driving for two hours through an intense rain band on our way home. Afterward we saw news about flooding, and we’re worried whether there was any damage to the Hotel or surrounding area. We’re already talking about coming again during apple season. Thank you very much—everything was truly delicious.

We stayed here hoping to relax as a family of four with our two adult children. From the warm welcome in the parking lot to the welcome drink and escort to our Room, we were treated with outstanding hospitality. Every detail—from the entrance hall and corridors to the Room interior—showed great care and exceeded what we had seen on the website in advance. The large public bath is not huge, but since the number of guests is limited, it was more than sufficient. We also enjoyed being able to soak in Onsen anytime in the bath in our Room, which was wonderful for our family. The meals reflected the chef’s dedication (he is from Shiga Prefecture), and every dish was a delight for both the eyes and the palate. We also appreciated having time to unwind as a family in the lounge with drinks, making this a trip that left all of us completely satisfied. What we recommend most about this Accommodation is that every staff member provides genuinely pleasant service. In addition to taking care of what we needed, they entertained us with friendly, witty conversation. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again and again as a couple or with family. This was my second stay. Once again, I felt the staff’s warm hospitality in so many moments, and it made for a truly wonderful visit. Both dinner and breakfast for solo diners were delicious. Since this trip also celebrated my mother’s birthday, I was especially looking forward to the cake I had requested. It looked beautiful, the figs were wonderfully fresh and juicy, and it was genuinely delicious. It was light and easy to eat, so even though we were full after dinner, we finished it in no time. I also loved the welcome amenity sweets so much that I bought some to enjoy after my stay. I had planned to take the herbal cordial home as well, but after trying a sample I couldn’t stop—I ended up drinking it all during my stay because it was that good! At breakfast, the carrot smoothie left a particularly strong impression. It was sweet and delicious—I even looked up the same one afterward. Everything—from the food to the amenities—showed such care and attention to detail that they were things I wanted to keep enjoying even after leaving. I also used the bath salts included as a Well-being Room benefit right away; they warmed me from deep within and felt wonderful. The bed was very comfortable too. I usually have trouble falling asleep when traveling, but this time I drifted off quickly. One small point: I found the lighting controls a bit hard to understand. At night, I wanted to turn on only the toilet light, but couldn’t get it to work as intended and felt a little confused. If it were more intuitive, it would be even more comfortable. Once again, we had such a relaxing time together and made lovely memories with my mother. We would love to return.

This is a refined Accommodation for adults. I requested the special course meal, and it was so satisfying that it may have been the best food I’ve had at any Accommodation I’ve stayed at. The staff’s service was also attentive and excellent. Relax while enjoying views of the sea on the Oga Peninsula. Late-night snacks are hardly available, so if you tend to get hungry, bring something with you.

This was our first time visiting on a family trip. Thanks to the staff’s heartfelt hospitality, we felt comfortable throughout our stay and are truly grateful. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and we had a relaxing, well-cared-for stay. We would love to stay again next time as well. Thank you very much for everything!

This is a small Ryokan with a strong sense of history, and as soon as you step through the entrance, you are welcomed by a classic Japanese Ryokan that blends beautifully with nature. The attentive service from the staff and the view of Kakusenkei Gorge from the Room made for a wonderful welcome. The Onsen is also small, but it was calm and very relaxing. Most impressive of all was the dining experience—every detail, from the food to the presentation and tableware, was outstanding. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to return to.
