Although our stay was short, the Facility had a wonderful atmosphere and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful time. The next morning, we enjoyed the Onsen and sauna—it felt great, and both body and mind were refreshed. Since we arrived just before midnight (24:00), it was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t use the Onsen that day. Next time, I’d like to arrive a little earlier and take more time to enjoy the Facility as well. I would definitely like to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you!

We stayed here for our family trip at the end of summer vacation. It was a special Room—the only one of its kind in the Hotel. It had the space of two Rooms plus a living area, and an exceptionally large bathroom—about the size of another Room—with a spacious bathtub where you can fully stretch out, as well as a separate shower room. The bubble-bath function had been removed, but features such as the marble flooring gave it a very luxurious feel. There were also private stairs, a ramp, and an exclusive corridor leading to this special Room, with outstanding attention to privacy. From the Room, we enjoyed breathtaking views over all of Lake Megami and the surrounding mountains. There were three large TVs, which delighted our children, and we could use the air conditioning as well, so we stayed comfortable throughout our visit. The public bath included an open-air bath and even two saunas, and the lockers were clean. From the open-air bath we could look out over Lake Megami and the mountains while relaxing in the Onsen. We enjoyed cooling off in the cold bath, watching clouds drift by, and taking our time to fully appreciate Tateshina Onsen. As it was peak season, both dinner and breakfast were buffet only; while there weren’t many items overall, each dish was truly delicious. The coffee did not seem to be freshly drip-brewed from a machine like those found at some buffets, so having a coffee machine would be nice. Next time we are very much looking forward to trying kaiseki cuisine at the basement-level restaurant as well. As an IKYU.com Diamond member benefit I requested late check-out; unfortunately it wasn’t possible due to peak season demand. Still, this is such a wonderful Hotel that we wanted to stay even longer—the Room was beautiful, spacious, and impressive in every way. Thank you also for the Diamond member gifts (a bottle of wine and souvenirs from Nagano). Since in Parking Lot No. 1 the wheelchair-priority space is shared with EV charging spaces, I think it would be better to separate them so that enough spaces can be secured to meet nighttime EV charging demand while keeping accessible parking available at all times. We arrived at 11:00 and completed check-in procedures first; the front desk staff were excellent. We requested early check-in but it wasn’t possible due to peak season; however when keys became available before 3:00 p.m., they were handed out in order of completion of procedures—so arriving early was worthwhile for us after all. We will be staying in this same Room again in the future as well; thank you in advance from our whole family for your continued hospitality. Thank you very much to all staff members.”

Outstanding hospitality—this is a wonderful Hotel! When my elderly father choked on a piece of steak at the restaurant, the staff rushed over immediately and supported me as I helped him, and thankfully he was fine. To the staff member who ran to us in that critical moment, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude once again. And the food is incredibly delicious! Each dish is rich in flavor and makes the most of the ingredients. Even my father, who had choked, finished all of his remaining meat, and our whole family enjoyed the desserts as well—everyone agreed they were delicious. I often hesitate to travel with my elderly parents who require nursing care certification, but we were able to stay together in one Room for four people, and this Hotel made me want to bring my parents again. We will visit again when we have the chance. Thank you very much.

It was a wonderful Hotel nestled in nature. We relaxed on the garden hammock and enjoyed the outdoors both day and night. The basement gift shop and game corner were also fun! The bath was excellent, and we enjoyed a leisurely, filling meal with our family.

I stay here every June. The bamboo shoots at dinner and the omelet at breakfast are delicious! Thank you to all the staff for always welcoming me so warmly.

We stayed with six people, including infants. The Hotel features a spacious, open lobby, and the Room was also clean. Best of all, being able to enjoy the Onsen in the Room was amazing. The water felt silky and slightly slippery, leaving our skin soft and supple. All of the meals were delicious, especially the vegetables and curry. The staff were very kind to our young children, making it an easy and comfortable stay. We would love to visit again.

Surrounded by Aso’s great natural scenery, the views were amazing! We were upgraded, so our Room was a Japanese-Western style room with a wonderful view. The food was also excellent—Akaushi roast beef and steak, sashimi, and more—with an all-you-can-drink plan, so we were very satisfied! It was only one night, but we really enjoyed the stargazing walk at night, fireworks, the pool, the massage room, and manga—everything was great. The open-air bath was a bit too bright in the daytime because of the sun, so I’d like some measures for that. I wanted to soak in the open-air bath under the night sky, but I drank too much and fell asleep. The next morning we could even see a sea of clouds—it became a truly wonderful memory!

My grandchild happily joined in activities like catching sweetfish and baking bread. We also enjoyed the pool to the fullest. The Onsen was great too.

I had never seen coral grass before, and since the Coral Grass Festival is in mid-September, I honestly didn’t have high expectations for an October stay. However, from the moment we entered the parking lot guided by the Kagariya signboard, all we could say was “Wow!” The two of us on this girls’ trip were greeted by a stunning view of fully bloomed coral grass. I had no idea the location was this perfect. Although the building is old, it was impeccably clean and comfortable. The highlight, however, was the food. When choosing the accommodation, I had looked at photos, and the simmered Kinki fish was the deciding factor. The freshly caught Kinki fish served was just as impressive, if not more. It was so delicious that we applauded. Every other dish was equally delightful, leaving us completely satisfied. We stayed in a room facing the lake, and the breathtaking view of Lake Notoro from the window in the morning was unforgettable. From sunrise to the changing light and the many birds flying in, even red-crowned cranes came to feed. Next time, I hope to enjoy a full-course Kinki fish meal.

We traveled to Kagoshima to celebrate my mother’s 60th birthday and stayed here for one night during our three-night trip. This Accommodation’s meals were incredibly generous in portion size. Every dish let us fully enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients, and everything was delicious—we were completely satisfied, to the point of feeling like we could barely eat another bite. Because it was a 60th birthday celebration, we requested a size 4 decorated cake in advance, and it was prepared for us at dinner. Afterward, we enjoyed it together as a family in our Room while celebrating at a relaxed pace, making it a truly memorable time. The view from the Room was wonderful as well. Just after 7:00 a.m., our whole family took a walk to the footbath in front of the Hotel. Soaking our feet there in the crisp morning air felt amazing and was deeply soothing. There were also several local community cats around, and their adorable presence brought smiles to everyone in our family. All of the staff were kind and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were able to spend a wonderful time that felt perfect for such a special trip. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again when visiting Kagoshima. Thank you very much.

The Room had a continuously flowing cloudy Onsen, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful Room Service and Shuttle Service. It was excellent value for a Saturday stay for one guest. The only disappointment was that amenities such as facial lotion were individually packaged and provided for just one use—I would have appreciated at least two uses. The meals were the right amount for me, but they may feel a bit light for younger guests or men. Next time, I’d like to enjoy a drink at the bar.

About a 2-hour trip by bus transfers from Kinugawa Onsen Station. I was hesitant because I’d be traveling by public transportation and worried about the transfers, but I decided to make a Reservation and spent my summer vacation here alone. I reserved a Room in the main building with shared washbasin and toilet, and it was well maintained and very clean. The baths included an indoor bath and a women’s open-air bath, and I also tried the mixed-gender bath while wrapped in a bath towel. The bath near the waterfall felt immersive and was great, but the stairs are steep, so please be careful at night. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, made with local ingredients. It seems you can get refills of rice, but there was no 안내; I would have appreciated being told. At night, a cricket (?) appeared in my Room, and I looked for insect spray but couldn’t find any… There’s no internal phone to reach the front desk from the Room, and the front desk is only open until 20:00... There were also unfamiliar bugs on the window screen—if you’re afraid of insects, summer might be tough.

I was very satisfied. The moment I walked in, I thought, “It’s more spacious than I expected!” It was clean and felt like a place where I could truly relax. This time I stayed alone, but the sofa is wide enough for two people, and there were sliding partitions between the bed area and the washbasin area, so even with a companion you could get ready comfortably. The staff were also very kind—when I was about to shop at the store, they told me about a survey, which helped me save money. If I had to mention one issue, the washbasin is a bit small, so water tends to splash around each time you use it. Overall, it was a wonderful Hotel with great value for money—I’ll definitely be back!

Although the Hotel is located in the countryside, the staff’s hospitality and the quality of the meals are on par with a three-star hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Overall, it was comfortable. The bath on the 7th floor had a fairly lukewarm tub, which was great because soaking in it after the hotter tub let us enjoy a longer time without overheating. On the other hand, the bath on the 1st floor has only four washing stations. While there are multiple tubs, most are so small that they barely fit one or two people, so I wouldn’t really recommend it unless you visit on a quiet day or specifically want to try several small baths. Meals (both breakfast and dinner) changed between the first and second night, so even with a Multiple Night Stay we didn’t get bored. You can enjoy many different dishes in small portions, and there’s also a special, creative feel to them. Everything was tasty, but not so impressive that it’s worth setting your expectations too high. The fish dishes were average; the meat dishes were very good. It was also nice that you can order Fukushima sake and other drinks for an additional fee. All staff were warm and welcoming. The Room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. We could see nature through large windows, and the amenities/Facility were well equipped: a large desk with a sturdy chair, a powerful hair dryer, a full-length mirror (stand mirror), tea and coffee, etc. However, it was disappointing that the desk drawer hit the chair armrests making it hard to pull up close to the desk, and that the light on the stand mirror had dead batteries. Since we stayed during Obon season there were many families with children, so it may not suit those looking for a quiet adults-only atmosphere. Also, since it said “no cleaning unless requested” for Multiple Night Stay guests we didn’t ask for anything—but staff still entered our Room to replace amenities without warning us first. This part of their guidance is unclear. There are hardly any shops nearby such as convenience stores, so it’s not ideal if you plan to sightsee only in the immediate area. It seems better suited either for going out toward the station area or for relaxing at this Accommodation. We didn’t use it ourselves, but they also appear to offer a free Shuttle Service bus to another affiliated Onsen.

We stayed here to visit Mount Koya. The meals were delicious, and desserts and drinks were all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. The bath water was soft, and everything was excellent.

An oceanfront location right in front of the sea, delicious meals, and a private open-air bath in the Room made our stay extremely satisfying. This Hotel is highly recommended for trips with your dog.

We stayed here as a couple to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Onsen was wonderful. Thank you for the complimentary champagne service at dinner.

The Room, baths, and meals were all wonderful. Both the in-room bath and the private Kashinoki-no-Yu Onsen were excellent. When I mentioned that the handle on the bath basket had come off, they responded immediately. As for the food, when I told them I have gout and can’t eat pork, they adjusted part of the meal. Every dish was delicious, and you could really tell how carefully everything was prepared. The soba was also great. All of the staff we spoke with in various situations were very pleasant, and it truly became a memorable trip. The view from the Room was amazing as well. There was a light mist over the mountains, and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It rained at night, but that actually made it even more relaxing with the sound of rain—I didn’t feel disappointed at all even though it rained. The American who traveled with me was impressed by everything and happily said they will definitely come again! I rarely write a Review no matter how much I travel, but Tsuruya was truly outstanding. If you’re considering a trip to Gunma, this is an Accommodation I would highly recommend—so I decided to write this Review. Next time, I’d love to enjoy the winter scenery along with the Onsen and meals. We will definitely visit again! Thank you very much.

The Western-style room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. There was a wide variety of dinner options, making it easy to choose. The Shinshu salmon was delicious. The soft-serve ice cream machine was self-serve, and the ice cream was rich and tasty. I’d like to visit again during the autumn foliage season.
