Kaiseki Yado Shiosato was established in 1953 and has been operating as a Ryokan in this Banshu region for many years. Starting as a very small Ryokan with only 3 Rooms at the time of its founding, we have gradually grown with the support of our local guests. In 2003, marking our 50th anniversary, we underwent a complete renovation and have since been operating as a Property with 11 Rooms. Today, we welcome not only local guests but also many visitors from other prefectures through introductions and recommendations. Shiosato is still in the process of growth. We will continue striving to be a Property where guests can feel our daily evolution.

Just steps from the approach to Nanzen-ji Temple, you will find Yachiyo, an inn offering Kyoto cuisine and a beautiful garden. The main entrance is marked by an impressive large lantern. Passing through the gate, guests are welcomed by a meticulously maintained courtyard garden and seasonal flowers.The property consists of the Main Building and an Annex. From the guest rooms in the Main Building, you can enjoy views of a garden designed by the renowned landscape artist Jihei Ogawa, also known as "Ueji," as well as the seasonally adorned Higashiyama area. Bansuiro Fukuzumi is a historic Onsen accommodation in Hakone Yumoto, established in 1625 during the Kan'ei era, with its own private hot spring source. During the late Edo to Meiji periods, it hosted notable figures such as the 15th Shogun Tokugawa Yoshinobu, Yukichi Fukuzawa, Hirobumi Ito, and Takamori Saigo. In 2002, it became the first active Ryokan to be designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. 川堰苑 いすゞRyokan is located on a hill overlooking the town of Yugawara, approximately 2km from Yugawara Station, about a 5-minute drive, and features 29 guest rooms. Our recommendation is the seasonal Kaiseki cuisine, prepared with seasonal ingredients. Recently, we have made every effort to accommodate the needs of elderly guests, those with allergies, and international visitors, even when traditional ryokan meals may not suffice, thanks to the thoughtful care of our hostess.
