We stayed here as a family during our summer vacation. The pancakes, pudding, and every meal were all very delicious. We felt a warmth in the staff’s hospitality that isn’t swayed by changing times, and it made us feel pleasantly nostalgic. It’s a wonderful Accommodation we’d love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

This time, we visited Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone for the first time, looking forward to seeing Mt. Fuji as part of my wife’s birthday trip. Although it was too cloudy to see the Mt. Fuji we had hoped for, we stayed at Setsugetsuka Bettei Suiun in Hakone and were able to fully enjoy the area. Our Room was a Standard Fourth, and it was very practical and well maintained with thorough cleaning, so we had a comfortable stay. The Onsen was at just the right temperature for me and left me feeling refreshed from the core, and it was also great to be able to use L’OCCITANE shampoo. For dinner, being able to choose the main dish and rice during the meal felt like a thoughtful service that let us decide based on our appetite. Breakfast offered such an abundant variety that we were so full we couldn’t even eat lunch afterward. The after-bath lounge area, along with complimentary drinks and snacks on each floor, was also a welcome service whenever we felt a little hungry. The staff’s hospitality was polite and easy to understand, which left a strong impression on us as well. After checkout we went to Gora Park, and at that time a parking staff member kindly advised us that taking the mountain railway one stop would allow us to walk downhill from top to bottom more easily—very helpful advice for an older couple like us. We hope to come back soon for our “I want to see Mt. Fuji with my own eyes!” revenge trip, and when we do, we would love to stay with you again.

We stayed here on the first night of our two-night trip to Yamagata. The food was excellent, and we were able to try the imoni stew we had been looking forward to at breakfast. The bath was spacious and relaxing, and the garden was beautiful. My spouse and I were both very satisfied. The welcome tama-konnyaku was delicious as well.

No wonder so many guests rate this Ryokan so highly!! The staff were simply wonderful, and I was impressed from the very start of the morning. Although the staff member assisting us was not Japanese, the explanations were clear and made us excited for the day right away. The half-buffet offered nothing but delicious choices, and we loved being able to grill items over charcoal at our own table. We were completely satisfied from breakfast onward! Even after checkout, they saw us off with warm smiles—this has become one of the Ryokan we definitely want to visit again. Thank you to all the staff.

We stayed here on a trip that also celebrated a family occasion. Everything was wonderful—the Onsen, the spacious Room, the view, and the staff’s service. The building and Rooms have a sense of history, but everything was thoroughly cleaned, so we felt comfortable staying there. The food was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful as well. The portions were very generous, so I think even men will feel completely full. Women can probably finish it too if they try hard. At dinner, we ordered an upgrade to a parfait with Daiginjo pudding (I believe it was 1,000 yen), but we were already full before it arrived and ate it anyway, so we couldn’t really enjoy the taste—something I regret. I would have been happy if it had less whipped cream and cost around 500 yen. All of the staff were very kind, and there were also international staff in the restaurant, so it seems like a safe choice for travelers from overseas as well—I highly recommend this place. Everyone greeted us with smiles, which made us very happy. We made wonderful memories with my mother! We would love to stay again—thank you very much!

Although the building is old, it is very well cleaned and the hospitality is excellent, so I think this is an Accommodation you can be truly satisfied with. It was also fun and nostalgic to be able to contact the front desk using a telephone you don’t see these days—perhaps making good use of the property’s vintage charm. One small thing: the yukata brought to me because the size didn’t fit had a slight odor that concerned me a bit. That said, I may simply be overly sensitive. In any case, the service is outstanding, and every staff member provided wonderful hospitality. I was deeply impressed by their thoughtful attention to detail. By chance there was a festival that day and we were able to watch fireworks; they even told us the best viewing spot, which made it a great memory. Thank you very much. As for the meals, the rice was cooked perfectly and delicious. The side dishes were excellent as well, but especially how good the rice was stood out. One suggestion: if the green onions in the breakfast miso soup could be lightly cooked in advance, then warming it at the table would make it even tastier—I felt they sometimes didn’t cook through enough with table heating alone. Still, overall everything was extremely delicious. This is an Accommodation I will definitely want to stay at again when I visit Kaminoyama Onsen.

Since we didn’t rent a car this time, we traveled by bus from Hakodate Station, but it was only a 3-minute walk from Tropical Botanical Garden-mae, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. A friend said the interior and the Room were far better than you’d ever imagine from the exterior. I believe I made a Reservation for the cheapest Room type, but to my surprise we were upgraded to what seemed like one of the best Rooms. It was a wonderful, spacious Room with a very comfortable sofa where we could truly relax. If I have the chance to visit again, I’d like to make a Reservation for the best Type A Room. I was looking forward to enjoying sparkling wine in the lounge, Hakodate milk soft-serve ice cream, and Misuzu Coffee—and they even had watermelon as well, which made me really happy. The soft-serve was unbelievably delicious. I don’t usually drink coffee, but Misuzu Coffee is so good that I decided to have it while in Hakodate. Being able to enjoy it as many times as you like until 10:00 p.m. is much appreciated—though my friend mentioned that in the morning there was only Misuzu Coffee. The bath is available even late at night, which is also very helpful. Even if you fall asleep after dinner and drinks, it’s great to be able to wake up and take a bath during the night. Dinner was an omakase sushi course that included fugu tatsuta-age; between the tuna selections and seasonal sushi, everything was satisfying and enjoyable. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options—I especially loved the soup curry. Overall, I think this is an excellent Accommodation with courteous front desk staff and a very positive impression. Just one thing: many Hotels these days provide deodorizing sprays, but I’m sensitive to fragrances—so I would prefer not having them in the Room or used during bed-making.

It was a wonderful Accommodation where we could relax, take our time, and unwind. All the staff greeted us with smiles and guided us efficiently and pleasantly. From the Room window, the Hoki River flowed swiftly, and the sound of the water was quite loud, but we actually found it soothing and it added to the feeling of being on a trip. The Onsen included a large public bath and an open-air bath, and the water temperature was just right—very comfortable. However, depending on where you stand, you may be able to see into the bathroom from the Room window, so those who are concerned may want to be mindful of that. For dinner, they kindly changed a meat dish to a fish dish; my husband, who doesn’t like meat, was very happy, and everything was delicious—we enjoyed great conversation as well. Also, being able to dine in a private room was a plus: it felt more relaxed than in-room dining while still allowing us to enjoy our meal calmly without worrying about others nearby. With an 11:00 check-out time, we were able to take it easy in the morning too—this Accommodation was perfect for my husband and me as we like taking small trips for rest and a change of pace. We chose this Hotel after reading Reviews and checking the price. All of the staff were kind, and the check-in explanation was very easy to understand. The Room was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable for a relaxing stay. We were very satisfied because we could enjoy both Taiko no Yu and the Hotel’s Onsen! After getting tired from walking up the hill before arriving at the Hotel, the cold welcome drink was perfect! Our whole family was happy with our stay. Thank you!

We stayed here to celebrate my aunt’s 91st birthday. Just as the Reviews said, not only was the staff’s hospitality outstanding, but every Facility and service was truly top-class. For my aunt, who has difficulty walking, the barrier-free interior made it very comfortable. During our 2-night, 3-day stay, we didn’t step outside the Hotel even once—we simply relaxed and took it easy inside—and both my aunt and I were extremely satisfied. It was a wonderful Hotel that made us want to come back and also recommend it to friends. Thank you very much to all the staff!

We stayed with a large group, gathering relatives from Ehime and the Kansai area. For our Konpira pilgrimage, the entrance had walking sticks, straw hats, chilled hand towels, and towels prepared, which was very helpful. It was also nice that our grandfather, who wasn’t going to Konpira-san, was allowed to use the lounge before check-in. The indoor bath also had a separate shower room, making it comfortable and relaxing even on rainy or cold days. The Room had a large window, a daybed, and two chairs, so we were able to unwind and relax. Breakfast was an irresistible selection for egg lovers—we really enjoyed it. The only disappointment was the dinner buffet selection. There were a lot of carbohydrates (maybe just local preference), but neither the meat nor fish dishes tasted particularly good, and there wasn’t much we wanted to eat. Still, we were able to relax with drinks again in the lounge afterward, so overall we were satisfied.

We stayed as three generations—my elderly mother, myself, and my child. The Room had a calm atmosphere, and the Onsen with its unique jungle-style bath was unlike anything else. The meals made great use of local ingredients, and we were very satisfied. My mother was delighted as well, and it became a wonderful travel memory for us.

Because we decided on our trip to Lake Toya at the last minute, I didn’t think we would be able to make a Reservation at a good Hotel. Since May is one of the peak seasons for travel in Japan, I wasn’t expecting much. But after staying there, the Hotel quality exceeded my expectations. I especially loved the dinner buffet. There was an incredible variety of dishes, and many were far better than I anticipated. I ate too much and ended up walking outside for hours afterward to feel better (laugh). Breakfast was more standard compared with dinner, but still very satisfying. As for the Onsen, “Hoshi no Yu” was truly outstanding—I highly recommend trying it at least once. Waking up early to use it was a bit tough, but it was absolutely worth it. The feeling of seeing Mt. Yotei from the Onsen in the morning is hard to put into words. It was truly spectacular.

The Room was thoroughly cleaned down to the smallest details, and we were able to stay very comfortably. Since our Room faced the river, we could hear the kajika frogs calling at night and enjoy a wonderfully luxurious atmosphere. Also, whenever we passed staff members in the hallway and elsewhere, they greeted us thoughtfully, and I was impressed by how many of them showed such attentive hospitality. The meals exceeded our expectations in both flavor and variety, and every dish was delicious. The dining area also showed careful consideration in its seating arrangement, creating a refined, high-quality space for dining. As for the baths, we could enjoy both Kinsen and Ginsen without leaving the property, with three different bath areas available—more than enough to fully relax and enjoy ourselves. At first I was surprised to hear that amenities are not placed in the Room but are picked up in the lobby to bring back with you; however, once we tried it, it felt flexible and actually more convenient. When we visit Arima Onsen again, my family agreed there won’t be any other choice.

I booked this Onsen with a scenic-view bath after it caught my eye while searching for an Accommodation. Since meals are served in the Room, I was a bit concerned about staff coming in and out, but they delivered the food outside the door, which made it much more comfortable. We also laid out our own futons, so no one entered the Room during dinner—this suited us well. It felt like that helped keep the price a bit more reasonable. Dinner had many dishes and was delicious, and we were even more satisfied with the tasty local rice. The bath was a good size and perfect for relaxing at our own pace. The Shuttle Service to the station was also very convenient. We’d like to stay again. Thank you very much.

The Onsen was incredibly relaxing, and I was able to unwind and enjoy a peaceful stay. I also appreciated that it is free-flowing from the source and available 24 hours a day. The water temperature was just right, and it left my skin feeling silky smooth. We had dinner on a riverside dining platform, and it was wonderful to enjoy the scenery and the sound of the flowing river while eating. The meal was delicious and had a great seasonal feel. The staff were courteous, which made the stay very comfortable. I would love to return if I have the chance.

The food was delicious, and I ended up drinking a bit too much for the first time in a while. The bath was just the right size, and I could relax comfortably and warm up thoroughly. The Room was cleaned carefully, and the toilet was kept very clean, making for a very pleasant stay. I would like to stay again. *The weather was quite cloudy and not ideal for seeing Mt. Fuji, but the clouds cleared briefly and we were able to see it.*

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. In addition to the Onsen, we were soothed by two different types of baths. During the day, we enjoyed soba in Tsumagoi Highlands and made the most of our trip from Shiga Highlands to Yamba Dam. The proprietress kindly shared tips on how to enjoy Yubatake and suggested nearby scenic drives, which helped us have a truly fulfilling holiday. We also thoroughly enjoyed the TsuruTaro Art Museum on site. Everything was perfect, and we were completely satisfied.

The Room was very spacious, and the children were thrilled as soon as we arrived. During dinner, one of our children suddenly felt unwell, and we really appreciated how quickly you brought towels, a bag, and a chair so we could sit in the hallway. Once they felt better, our child said they want to stay again. Thank you very much.
