I usually stay at health insurance association retreats or Tokyo ward-run resorts (paying the non-resident rate), but this place was available for about the same price, so I decided to try it. Since it was a weekday, only a few cars were in the parking lot, and it felt spacious and comfortable. In the lobby, there is a coffee machine that guests can use freely. The Room had been nicely renovated, was well cleaned, and provided a relaxing environment. There are three bathing areas that rotate between men and women by time slot. Perhaps out of consideration for nearby buildings, the women’s open-air bath is scheduled from nighttime to early morning, which felt reassuring. Compared with typical retreat facilities, the meals were far more upscale—generous portions and very tasty. The self-serve soy sauce soft-serve dessert is outstanding. Laying out futons in the Japanese-style Room is self-service, but if you don’t mind that, it offers great value for money. The staff were also polite and pleasant throughout. I’d like to stay again soon.

After sightseeing at Okaido and Matsuyama Castle, I arrived within walking distance. Near the front desk, you pick up essentials such as bathrobes and brushes to take to your Room. There is also a sake tasting service. On the second floor, there are massage chairs and a manga corner. There is also a limited-time drink bar where you can enjoy free sours and highballs. Mini ramen is available as well. With rental bicycles, it’s easy to access Dogo Onsen and nearby Kotobuki Onsen (Kotobuki Onsen is inexpensive). Breakfast was more than sufficient, with items like jakoten fish cakes and Pon Juice. This Hotel offered outstanding value for money, and the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We chose the Surprise Plan for a celebration, and the communication was very courteous. The Room and open-air bath were spacious, relaxing, and very clean. We were also happy to have plenty of free drinks. We chose the wagyu course, and everything was delicious. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them as well. Being able to adjust the open-air bath ourselves meant we could always soak at just the right temperature, which was a great feature. Breakfast was also excellent. We felt refreshed in both body and mind, the surprise was a success, and we’re truly glad we chose this place. We’d love to stay in one of the other Rooms too!

I stayed during the lovely summer season.\nBecause it was a weekday, they upgraded my Room, and I was able to enjoy a very spacious Japanese-style room.\nThe town itself has a calm, homey feel and hasn’t been overly commercialized for tourism; being surrounded 360 degrees by nature—green and blue—was truly refreshing for both body and mind.\nThe building has been renovated, so it didn’t feel old and everything was kept clean. However, from the entrance to the lobby there were everyday items that felt a bit cluttered, which was a slight downside for anyone looking for an escape from daily life.\nThat said, the gentleman at the front desk was very kind and warm-hearted, the meals (both dinner and breakfast) were delicious, and the staff’s thoughtful hospitality made me feel like “it’s like coming back to Grandpa’s house,” so overall I’m glad I chose this Accommodation.\nThere is an open-air bath, but it felt slightly exposed as if someone might be able to look in from outside, so in the morning I used only the indoor bath.

I booked at a great price with a coupon, so I wasn’t expecting much, but I was very happy that the meal included grilled salt ayu. I recently stayed at Suimeikan in Gero, but they didn’t serve ayu. All the staff were pleasant and made me feel relaxed. I visit every year to pay my respects at the grave, so I’ll stay here again.

As I was pregnant, we stayed here for what would be our last trip as a family of three. The staff were very polite and provided attentive service. They also explained the Room thoroughly, and since it came with an open-air bath, we were able to relax and enjoy bathing privately as a family. The meals were delicious, and at check-out they took a photo of us at the entrance, leaving us with wonderful memories.

Twice a year, our family treats ourselves to a slightly luxurious trip. This time it was just the two of us, and considering the location and the Room, the price felt surprisingly reasonable—so I was a bit worried. Still, we decided to stay at Kajikaso because of its great location near the shopping street.\n\nUntil we arrived by car and were waiting to check in at the Hotel, I honestly thought we might have made the wrong choice. But after check-in, everything changed: a spacious, bright Room; a garden open-air bath with perfectly heated water flowing continuously; very comfortable beds; and even two TVs. The large public bath was impressive—big enough to swim in—and the temperature was just right.\n\nDinner was excellent, especially the appetizers and sashimi. Drinks ordered via tablet were delivered quickly, and chatting with the staff was truly soothing. We also enjoyed the karaoke room and breakfast—everything was wonderful.\n\nMy husband especially loved the complimentary beer server in our Room.\n\nThank you very much for taking such great care of us!

The staff’s friendly greetings and thoughtful hospitality made our stay very comfortable. I finished every last drop of the soy milk hot pot at breakfast—it was delicious. I made a Reservation here to see the starry sky. Unfortunately it rained, but the nighttime lights of the Onsen town seen from our Room window were also wonderful. I was captivated by Hirugami Onsen’s silky-smooth water. Thank you very much.

The Onsen water quality was excellent in both the large public bath and the private reservable bath. I wished the bathing hours were extended until around 2:00 a.m., as I would have loved to soak one more time. The complimentary fondant chocolate and cold tea in the post-bath lounge were delicious. The brunch curry topped with roast beef was luxurious, beautifully presented, and very tasty. Being able to enjoy the perfect combination of Ureshino Onsen and Ureshino tea truly helped me recharge with nature’s energy. Thank you very much—I would love to stay again.

I stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and the Room was simply outstanding. The spaciousness, cleanliness, design, and the in-room Onsen were all excellent. Since we didn’t order meals this time, we had limited interaction with the staff, but we didn’t experience any inconvenience. I’d love to visit again.

Although we stayed on a discounted Plan due to minor issues, the Room was spacious and very comfortable. It almost felt too large for two people. When we asked in advance for dinner recommendations, many places were closed after the holiday, so the staff kindly checked which restaurants were open and even called us back. At check-in, they also carefully explained how to get there. We were truly surprised and moved by such warm hospitality. The izakaya they recommended gave us a wonderful evening—delicious food from the kind owner and friendly regulars made it unforgettable. Thank you for your excellent service. We will definitely stay again!

We were able to stay at a great price, and the meals were incredibly delicious and very generous—we really had to work hard to finish them. There was Hida beef served both teppanyaki-style and as sukiyaki, and the vegetables were fresh and very tasty. We also reserved the bath for private use, and we were moved by the breathtaking star-filled sky. There was no air conditioning, but it wasn’t a problem. The Room was old, but we knew it came with that condition, so it was fine. Our whole family was so satisfied that we all said we’d like to stay again. With souvenirs included as well, I think it’s a truly wonderful Ryokan.

After arriving at the Accommodation and taking a short break, we headed to the spacious open-air Onsen. Other guests were already there and said the water was amazing—like a beauty serum. After trying it ourselves, we completely agreed. The silky-smooth water felt incredibly soothing. The cave bath seemed even more moisturizing, making it an Onsen you could stay in forever. Not only was the large public bath wonderful, but the in-Room bath was also beautifully made of stone. I can’t even count how many times we used it during our stay. The meals were also delicious, and we were very satisfied. We also really enjoyed sightseeing at Kikuchi Castle Ruins, Yamaga’s Sakura-yu, and Kikuchi Gorge.

This Onsen Ryokan is designed for pet owners, and it was a huge help for those traveling with a dog. Not only was the staff’s hospitality excellent, but their care and attention toward our dog was also wonderful, making our stay very comfortable. The guest room was thoughtfully arranged for pet owners, and it was great to have a wide range of amenities provided. One small concern was that, perhaps because the room uses carpet, there was a slight lingering odor that seemed like urine from a previous guest’s dog. That part was disappointing. As for the meals, considering the Accommodation Fee, I would have been happier if they were a bit more substantial. Overall, I think this is an excellent option as an Onsen Ryokan where you can stay with your dog safely and with peace of mind.

After descending from the mountains on the second night of my two-night stay in Shima Onsen—somewhere I had long wanted to visit—I stayed at this Accommodation. It is located in a quiet area, and the beautiful views of the Shima River from both the Room and the baths, along with the excellent spring quality and comfortable temperatures, made me very satisfied. The three large public baths were each enjoyable. The proprietress’s picture-story show and talk, which she has continued for 33 years, were skillful, fun, soothing, and highly recommended. The staff were also polite and very pleasant, providing attentive hospitality throughout. This is one Accommodation I would like to stay at again.

We stayed as a family. The private bath was great, but we were a little late for check-in and the time slot we wanted was already booked, which was disappointing. The food and everything else were better than expected. The Room we stayed in was spacious and excellent. We will come again.

This was an Accommodation I was very satisfied with. The private bath and the in-room bath were especially wonderful, and I was able to relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. Overall, I felt it offered great value for the price. For breakfast, rice, miso soup, raw egg, and natto are available for unlimited refills, but the initial serving was already generous enough that refills weren’t necessary—I was very satisfied. For dinner, you can choose from two course options; however, at check-in on the first day, the sushi & shabu-shabu course was fully booked. Even so, both courses were excellent in both quality and portion size, and everything was delicious. The amenities were also well stocked, and I appreciated the snack service as well as the wide selection of yukata provided. There were complimentary ice cream and coffee services along with late-night soba throughout my stay, which made me feel how extensive the services were. The late-night soba was also very tasty. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be dinner service. Sometimes water or tea was provided at the start and sometimes it wasn’t; also, there were times when drinks weren’t refilled unless we asked. That point stood out slightly, but aside from that I was extremely satisfied overall and would definitely like to stay again.

We stayed this time as a family of four. We first discovered this Accommodation when we stayed here on a tour more than 10 years ago. Since then, we have returned many times for motorcycle touring and family trips. It is also in a great location for visiting the nearby Ainu Kotan and local handicraft shops. The delicious meals—and above all, the Onsen—everything deserves top marks. We will definitely be back again.

I walked from the station to the Hotel while sightseeing along the way. I visited a shrine before checking in, and when I did check in, my Room had a view of that shrine. Since it was easy to get there from the parking lot side, I thought I might have been better off checking in first, but the view of the sea from the slope below the shrine was wonderful, so it felt like I got to enjoy it twice. The meals were served in small dishes that were easy to pick up, so dining went smoothly. Everything was delicious and very satisfying. The bath was also great, but if I had one request, the shower position was low and a bit difficult to use. Since it was a Sunday stay, it was reasonably priced and much appreciated. I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

It was very close to Dogo Onsen Honkan, and it was very convenient—easy to go back after my Reservation and also close to the shopping arcade for shopping. Breakfast was included, so I had it in the morning, but it was quite disappointing. I expected something like a Business Hotel breakfast, but there wasn’t much to eat and I struggled. I’m glad I didn’t add dinner. Still, because of the convenient location, I think I’ll use it again.
