The autumn leaves were very beautiful from the room. There were many tourists from overseas, but there were no issues, and it was a great experience to chat in the open-air bath. The staff seemed to include those proficient in languages, showing their efforts as an accommodation. The variety of uniquely designed baths was enjoyable. The food was also delicious. However, the reservation method for private baths may need some consideration.

I booked at a great price with a coupon, so I wasn’t expecting much, but I was very happy that the meal included grilled salt ayu. I recently stayed at Suimeikan in Gero, but they didn’t serve ayu. All the staff were pleasant and made me feel relaxed. I visit every year to pay my respects at the grave, so I’ll stay here again.

Despite the rain, we truly appreciated being picked up when we arrived at the Accommodation and dropped off when we left, which made us feel very welcome. The Onsen water left our skin silky smooth, and we enjoyed a very relaxing bath. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a private room. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay. Last time I traveled solo and used a twin room as single occupancy, but this time I stayed with my partner (my wife) for 3 nights and 4 days. I booked a twin Western-style room for the first two nights, and a Japanese-Western style room for the third night because the twin was unavailable. However, thanks to the Hotel’s kindness, we were upgraded to a very spacious Japanese-Western style room for all three nights. Thank you very much. The main purpose of this trip was the Sapporo Snow Festival for the first time in six years. With hotel prices in central Sapporo rising sharply recently, we chose this Hotel again because we had a great experience before. When comparing rates, this Hotel with breakfast and dinner can sometimes be cheaper than central-area hotels with breakfast only (depending on when you make your Reservation). This time we rented a car from the airport, but if you are not used to driving on snowy roads, taking the bus is honestly recommended. Also, at this Hotel, if the schedule works out, using the free Shuttle Service bus is an excellent value. We used the Shuttle Service one-way from the Hotel to Sapporo Station on our second day (they were running five large buses). After enjoying the Snow Festival, we returned to the Hotel by taking Jotetsu Bus “Kappa Liner,” using its last service (departing 17:00 from in front of the station). On day three, we relaxed by visiting nearby Hoheikyo Onsen for a day trip bath and their famous curry, and took an easy stroll around town in the snowy hot-spring area. As for the Hotel itself, you can enjoy various baths at both an underground Onsen area and an observation bath & open-air bath on the top floor. That said—perhaps because there isn’t enough source water volume for baths of that size—the “Onsen feel” is slightly mild. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner. Given that it was peak season at such a huge Resort Hotel, it gets extremely crowded in a massive dining venue, so it’s better to avoid peak times. The buffet selection may not match top-tier luxury resort standards, but it was satisfying—for example, breakfast included seafood bowls where you can add as much salmon roe as you like. If you’re visiting Sapporo for sightseeing, staying in central Sapporo is convenient; however, this Hotel offers great value with breakfast and dinner included plus Onsen access—and even free Shuttle Service buses from near Sapporo Station—so I may well return for a third stay. One extra note: the new wing has three glass elevators, and two regular elevators on the inner side of the building opposite them. The glass elevators have great views, but in midwinter (around -10°C), they are very cold inside, so we ended up using the inner ones most of the time.

We stayed here to celebrate a birthday. During the dinner buffet, they served a fruit plate and more, which made us very happy!! The hospitality and service deserve more than five stars. This is the first time I’ve truly wanted to stay again.

My monthly staycation is usually at a Hotel in my local Minato Mirai area, but this time I went a bit farther to Hotel Indigo Gora. I drove there alone, and the winding mountain roads in Hakone were a little tiring. I arrived before check-in and planned to relax at the footbath, but as soon as I parked in the outdoor lot in front of the Hotel, a staff member came right away and helped with my luggage. The welcome drink and Umaibo snack were a nice touch, and being able to check in comfortably while seated is one of those pleasures you expect from a Hotel of this class. When I entered my Room with the staff’s guidance, I couldn’t help saying, “Beautiful!” out loud. It’s a compact Hotel with around 100 rooms, but the Japanese-modern design—combining a raised tatami area with beds—was truly charming. I usually prefer modern Hotels, but this stay reminded me how calming and appealing Japanese-modern style can be. For dinner, I ordered à la carte at the on-site restaurant. The shrimp, scallops, and abalone in the bouillabaisse were surprisingly tender; the burrata was rich and paired perfectly with tomato and basil. The white wine went down easily. Since I don’t eat much, I also appreciated having à la carte options instead of only set courses. The bath in my Room was spacious, and I was able to fully enjoy the Onsen at leisure. The breakfast buffet also impressed me in both variety and quality—especially the green beans dressed with sesame sauce, which tasted far better than anything I could make at home. Even as someone who eats lightly (and can be picky), it was more than satisfying. The hospitality from everyone on staff was excellent, and the entire property was beautiful and comfortable. It was a wonderful Hotel that made me want to return again.

I stayed for two nights. You served meals that were different from what I expected, and they were very delicious. The tatami in the Room was also new and comfortable, so I had a pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

We stayed here during Golden Week. First, we checked in at the front desk, and the male staff member’s guidance was very unhurried, polite, and easy to understand. His kind smile also left a great impression. Right after check-in, what caught our eye was a mountain of sweets, ice cream, and even an automatic pancake maker. My spouse and I both love alcohol, so we headed straight for the drinks corner without even looking at the snacks! They had a full selection including beer, champagne, wine, and shochu, and we enjoyed them along with homemade cream cheese. Dinner also included shabu-shabu and crab. The crab was small but sweet, and the shabu-shabu came with both beef and pork—both were delicious. The ponzu sauce was especially tasty (is it homemade?). We were told we could bring drinks back to our Room after dinner as well, so after bathing we brought some along and enjoyed them. They also lend out games, so we borrowed a nostalgic Famicom and had a lot of fun in our Room. This Accommodation was perfect for us as a couple—we truly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely like to visit again.

This was our first time staying here. We made a Reservation with a very good-value Plan, but one person suddenly couldn’t make it. When we informed the staff, they handled it very flexibly, which truly helped us. It was our daughter’s birthday, and they also arranged a birthday cake separately. The staff and other guests offered congratulatory words as well, and our daughter was delighted. The meals included some items prepared in advance, but the Joshu beef sukiyaki and fresh sashimi were especially delicious. Rice, miso soup, dessert, and drinks were served buffet-style, so we could enjoy seconds without hesitation—this was excellent. The Room was very spacious; the tatami mats looked newly replaced, there were no areas that concerned us in terms of cleanliness, and we stayed comfortable throughout. Needless to say, the large public bath had wonderful water quality. There was also a cooler “refreshing bath” available only in summer at a lower temperature, which made it comfortable for the children too. All employees were kind and helpful. Above all, it left an impression to see energetic senior staff cheerfully greeting guests while pushing large carts. Everyone worked so efficiently that it gave us energy as well. I’m sure there are various Reviews out there, but for our family this has definitely become a place of wonderful memories—thank you very much! Also, the flowers were properly arranged with fresh blooms; I admired how well they are maintained despite how much work that must be. Next time we’d love to return with the person who couldn’t come this time as well.

We stayed here for a family trip for the first time in a while. It was a wonderful Accommodation, just as friends had recommended if we were staying in Dogo. As many Reviews mention, the location is truly excellent. It’s close to Dogo Onsen Honkan, and it was an easy walk—enjoying shopping along the arcade—to Dogo Onsen Station and the Karakuri Clock. We had informed them in advance that we would use the parking lot, and upon arrival they kindly guided us there, which made it very easy to understand. Our Room was on the 7th floor with a great view over Dogo town; our son relaxed while looking out at the scenery the whole time. Thank you for arranging such a nice view. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet-style, and everything was delicious. A staff member in training quickly noticed and cleared empty plates, so even with four of us we could keep plenty of space on the table. We were especially happy to be able to try tai-meshi. The bath—praised by my family as well (“I’m glad you chose an Accommodation with an open-air bath!”)—was a comfortable size. The open-air bath felt wonderful with the night breeze; we could look up at the sky and unwind, which really eased our daily fatigue. In the morning there were fewer people as well, so we could soak slowly. The relaxation area prepared outside the bath (the water was delicious) also had chairs by the window with a panoramic view. It was great being able to enjoy both nighttime and morning views of Dogo. Before our stay I emailed some questions; they replied quickly and explained everything carefully, which helped us feel at ease. If I had one small suggestion, it would be that an exhaust fan in the toilet inside the guest Room would have been nice. Overall, everyone on staff was very pleasant and we were very satisfied. Our trip to Dogo Onsen became a wonderful memory thanks to choosing Chaharu. Thank you very much.

I was finally able to visit “Ura-Kusatsu Tou,” a place I’d been curious about for a long time. Located in the Ura-Kusatsu area, just a short distance from the bustle of Yubatake, the moment you step inside you’ll find a beautifully curated space where traditional craftsmanship and modern design come together. Every corner of the Accommodation is picture-perfect. From interiors accented with traditional crafts to warm, inviting lighting, you can feel the attention to detail throughout. It was an Accommodation with a calm atmosphere—perfect for an adults-only getaway. Relax from the core with “Jizo Gensen” The greatest highlight here is, of course, the Onsen fed by “Jizo Gensen.” Among Kusatsu’s many hot spring sources, “Jizo-no-Yu” is said to be rare due to its low output. Its gentle feel on the skin and subtle milky hue were wonderfully soothing, and I could truly relax from deep within. Not only in the large public bath but throughout the building, there are thoughtful touches that create a sense of gentle “sway,” making it feel as if everyday fatigue simply melts away. Dinner and breakfast were served in a serene dining space. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious enough to make you happy with each bite. Breakfast also felt luxurious: colorful small plates lined up alongside freshly cooked rice. An Accommodation where you can fully enjoy both the Onsen and the cuisine—I left completely satisfied in both heart and stomach. The Room was spotless and comfortable—functional yet designed with a calming Japanese aesthetic. The staff maintained just the right level of attentiveness; thanks to their courteous service, my stay was pleasant from start to finish. It had been some time since my last visit to Kusatsu Onsen, but this trip helped me rediscover its charm all over again. This wonderful Accommodation lets you experience both the excellence of Jizo Gensen and modern comfort at once—somewhere I would love to return again.

I use this Hotel when traveling to Hokuriku for work. It had been about a year since my last stay, and the staff’s smiles make this a truly relaxing place. Because I’m here for work, my arrival time is uncertain and I leave early in the morning, so I always book No Meals Included. The Room is kept very clean, and the magnifying mirror at the sink is really helpful when putting on makeup. I’m not sure if every Room has one, but it’s a nice touch. The larger-than-usual refrigerator is also convenient. Ice packs don’t freeze completely solid, but they do freeze to some extent. The Onsen is spacious and stylishly designed. The open-air bath is deep, and there’s a large stone inside that works like a seat—you can adjust your height, which is great. There’s also a cold bath, and I appreciate that it isn’t too cold. This time I arrived in the early evening, so I went out for dinner while taking a walk around the Onsen town. It’s within walking distance, which gave me one more thing to look forward to. I’ll continue staying with No Meals Included—thank you again for your hospitality.

What I liked 1. The complimentary drinks on arrival—draft beer was excellent. The oden was also great. You don’t find this at other places. 2. The shampoo bar in the Onsen area—this was a favorite and not something other places offer. 3. It was great that the games were free of charge. 4. We enjoyed table tennis, and we really appreciated that it was free of charge. Request for improvement Since we stayed in Aoi-kan, I understand that the building is older, but I did notice an odor in the corridors and in our Room. My daughter also said the corridor smell made it feel a bit spooky, which was disappointing. These days, scent is important—for example, Lexus dealerships have a very pleasant fragrance inside—so I would appreciate it if you could install a fragrance diffuser or similar device in the corridors. That said, thank you very much for a satisfying stay.

The Onsen water quality was excellent in both the large public bath and the private reservable bath. I wished the bathing hours were extended until around 2:00 a.m., as I would have loved to soak one more time. The complimentary fondant chocolate and cold tea in the post-bath lounge were delicious. The brunch curry topped with roast beef was luxurious, beautifully presented, and very tasty. Being able to enjoy the perfect combination of Ureshino Onsen and Ureshino tea truly helped me recharge with nature’s energy. Thank you very much—I would love to stay again.

This time, we stayed in a Room with a private free-flowing Onsen bath. The bathroom in the Room was spacious, with a large tub and water at just the right temperature, so we were able to fully enjoy the Onsen along with the public bath. There was a wide variety of dishes, with plenty of vegetables, and we enjoyed everything—from the meal to dessert—with both our eyes and our taste buds. While the building exterior shows some age, the Facility is well maintained; the Room was thoroughly cleaned, and we had a comfortable stay.

Aside from the slightly spongy floor in the washroom, this Accommodation was very clean, meticulously maintained throughout, and truly comfortable. We were able to relax as if we were back at our parents’ home. The baths were also wonderful, and we enjoyed both the large public bath and all three private baths. The former air-raid shelter passage leading to the Goemon bath was a little scary, but it also felt like a valuable geo-heritage site. Breakfast is mainly Western-style, and the variety, quality, and portion size all felt just right. (Couple in our 50s) Perhaps because it is Western-style, we would be happy if tea were available after the meal. The staff’s attentiveness and sense of distance were just right, making this an Accommodation we definitely want to return to. We would also recommend it to family and friends.

I think this is a very good Hotel with excellent value for money. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that it can feel crowded and a bit hard to get around because there are so many guests—proof of how popular this Accommodation is. This is our annual summer family trip with three generations. We book two Rooms, and we truly appreciate that you arrange them next to each other. The baths are amazing—wonderful Onsen! The food is delicious with a wide variety of options, and all the staff are so kind and helpful. It’s an outstanding Hotel. My mother was left partially paralyzed after a cerebral hemorrhage and has limited mobility, so we wondered if this might be our last trip together—but this year again, our whole family was able to come. We hope my mother and father stay healthy so we can all return next year as well. This is the best Hotel for creating wonderful memories on our yearly family trips. Please take care of yourselves, and keep up the great work. I’ll be visiting with friends in October too, and I’m looking forward to coming back again. It was conveniently located right in front of Beppu Station, and we had no trouble finding convenience stores or restaurants nearby. The staff were very kind and helpful with the Room and parking, and we were extremely satisfied. There were limited seats at breakfast and it was full at the time, so we returned to our Room for a while, but they called us when a seat became available, which was very helpful. Thank you to all the staff.

We enjoyed the Reservation-only open-air bath, the cave bath, and having them privately. We expected it to be crowded during Obon, but we were lucky to enter the cave bath smoothly. In the morning, the large public bath also felt like we had it all to ourselves—another lucky moment. The meals were enjoyable both dinner and breakfast, with a wide variety of dishes. The eel was delicious. The Room was spacious and comfortable. One thing: both beds squeaked a lot, which surprised us. The mattress and bedding were comfortable, so that was disappointing.
