This was our first stay, and the hostess was very warm and welcoming. We felt truly at home, and it was a wonderful Accommodation. The conger eel course was a bit too much for us in our 70s, so we couldn’t finish the final clay pot rice. They kindly made it into rice balls for us, and we enjoyed it very much. Next time, we would love to visit again for the 3-year-aged pufferfish.

To all the staff at Karuizawa Club Hotel 1130, thank you as always for your kind support. My family has stayed here many times over the past few years, and this time we were finally able to make a Reservation for the Premium Family Suite Room we had long hoped for, so we stayed yesterday. As its name suggests, it was the highest-grade Room among the many Rooms at Karuizawa Hotel 1130. There was an open-air jacuzzi bath on the balcony, and two indoor baths inside as well. There were also two restrooms, and four separate rooms in total—one of them a bedroom with a skylight that lets you gaze up at the sky. Because every space was so luxurious, my whole family was thrilled the moment we stepped into each room. We had reserved Japanese kaiseki at Yamaboshi well in advance, but it was changed to a buffet Plan. Just like in Hewitt Resort’s TV commercial, the buffet venue was beautiful and the selection was extensive. From the live kitchen at dinner to freshly made rice balls at breakfast, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were all courteous and kind, which helped us greatly. We also visited the open-air bath at Onioshi Onsen; it had been renovated and made it easier to access directly from the indoor bath area. We will be staying one more night later this month as well, and we are looking forward to enjoying the same Premium Family Suite Room again. Each time we stay, this wonderful Hotel continues to evolve even further—and it has become our family’s favorite. I hope other guests can experience that same sense of excitement too. Although it seemed nearly fully booked, we had a very comfortable stay! The indoor dog run was air-conditioned, so we didn’t need to take walks in the heat. The Onsen also featured an authentic open-air bath that warmed us through to the core. Above all, the staff’s hospitality was exceptional—they welcomed us on arrival and saw us off at departure, making it a truly wonderful memory.

This was our second stay, and we stayed with my elderly mother. We thoroughly enjoyed the conger eel dinner and the Japanese breakfast. We were also able to relax comfortably in the barrier-free private open-air bath. Thank you to all the Hotel staff for your courteous service.

Just as the Reviews said, every dish we had been looking forward to was truly delicious. We were impressed by the careful seasoning and attention to detail, even in the side dishes. The Facility felt historic, but everything—including the bath—was well maintained and very clean. We were looking for an Accommodation with a tatami Room so it would be comfortable for our one-year-old. We were a bit nervous that our child might touch the hanging scrolls or shoji screens, but our meals were served separately from other guests, and it was still very easy to spend time here even with a child. Above all, everyone at the Accommodation was warm and welcoming, which made our stay truly comfortable. We’re sorry for any trouble caused by our child, but we sincerely appreciated your kind support until the very end. We visited as a family to celebrate my parents’ 60th birthday, and they were extremely satisfied. It became a once-in-a-lifetime family memory. Thank you very much.

We stayed in August. The Hotel itself felt a bit old, but the necessary areas have been renovated. Good points - The Hotel has an outdoor pool. It’s a bit far to Ito Orange Beach, so the pool is more than enough for kids to play. It’s also heated, and the water temperature was comfortable. - There are karaoke rooms, table tennis, and a free manga corner. - The complimentary Onsen manju at welcome service is delicious. - As part of the Fujita Kanko Group, there are Plans that include free tickets to Hakone Kowakien Yunessun and Shimoda Aquarium. There is also a 24-hour MaxValu right next door, where you can buy any snacks or treats you need. Points for improvement - If it’s only seafood, it can get repetitive, so I’d like more variety in meat and vegetable dishes as well. - I would prefer card keys for the Room. Overall, I felt it offered excellent value for money.

My son planned a relaxed, unhurried trip to visit Kasama Inari Shrine, Nakaminato Market, and buy melons in Hokota, and chose this Hotel for our stay. The Hotel itself may be older, but it has been beautifully renovated. The lobby and entrance are stylish spaces, and the view opens from the inlet out to the sea right in front of you—making a great first impression. The Room was also well designed with unnecessary items kept to a minimum. It felt clean and comfortable. Dinner was pleasantly healthy for us seniors, and we enjoyed it very much. It seemed a little light for my son’s generation, but the late-night ramen service is a nice touch (we missed it because our dinner was late). We wanted to enjoy dinner quietly and at a relaxed pace, but unfortunately it was noisy that day because we were dining alongside a large group of older guests. Breakfast was buffet-style with a good variety across different categories, and everything was tasty. Overall, it offered excellent value for money, and it’s a Hotel we would like to visit again.

The Room had a continuously flowing cloudy Onsen, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful Room Service and Shuttle Service. It was excellent value for a Saturday stay for one guest. The only disappointment was that amenities such as facial lotion were individually packaged and provided for just one use—I would have appreciated at least two uses. The meals were the right amount for me, but they may feel a bit light for younger guests or men. Next time, I’d like to enjoy a drink at the bar.

It was conveniently located close to Laguna Ten Bosch. We stayed in a Room with a private bath. The view was great, and the bath felt open and airy and was very clean—our children were delighted. The staff were very helpful, and the welcome services were also excellent. The meals were delicious, and the children’s menu was thoughtfully planned with good nutritional balance, which was wonderful. It was an Accommodation we would like to stay at again. Due to the typhoon, train service to the nearest station, Izukyu-Shimoda Station, was suspended. After we contacted the Accommodation, they came to pick us up at a station where trains were still running. A welcome drink (including alcohol) was also prepared, and we felt relieved when we finally arrived. Above all, the meals were outstanding—we truly enjoyed the seafood. We are grateful for their thoughtful care in every way.

We were able to relax in a retro yet well-kept Room. The main meal, especially the tuna, was truly outstanding, and everything—from the delicious dishes and local sake to the freshly cooked rice—was wonderful, allowing us to enjoy a lovely time. It was incredibly soothing. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

From the moment you step into the Hotel—whether in the lounge, your Room, or the restaurant—you can spend your time enjoying breathtaking views wherever you are. Dinner enjoyed while gazing out at the vast ocean filling the windows featured dishes that paired perfectly with drinks, and with free-flow beverages, we couldn’t help but indulge. Although the building is a bit old, the front desk and restaurant staff were warm and welcoming, and our whole family seemed to have a wonderful time. We’d love to come again next time with friends as well. Thank you very much.

This was our first stay. With the ocean right in front of us and a pool to enjoy, it became an unforgettable memory. The kids especially loved the night pool. The next morning we had an early breakfast and headed out first thing; there were many different shops and we had a great time. After that, we tried On the Sea and enjoyed the beach and pool until lunchtime. We accidentally left something behind, but it was found the next day and mailed to us. We are truly grateful for your kind and attentive support right up to the very end. It was a wonderful family trip. Thank you so much! We would love to stay again.

At dinner, the proprietress came to speak with us, and when we mentioned our 30th wedding anniversary, she gave us a wonderful handwritten gift that truly moved us. We were so happy. We have it proudly displayed at home. The unexpected present became a very special memory.\nThe views from the Room and the dining area were exceptional as well.\nAt breakfast, we also had the chance to chat with a staff member from our hometown. Since we didn’t rent a car this time, we traveled by bus from Hakodate Station, but it was only a 3-minute walk from Tropical Botanical Garden-mae, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. A friend said the interior and the Room were far better than you’d ever imagine from the exterior. I believe I made a Reservation for the cheapest Room type, but to my surprise we were upgraded to what seemed like one of the best Rooms. It was a wonderful, spacious Room with a very comfortable sofa where we could truly relax. If I have the chance to visit again, I’d like to make a Reservation for the best Type A Room. I was looking forward to enjoying sparkling wine in the lounge, Hakodate milk soft-serve ice cream, and Misuzu Coffee—and they even had watermelon as well, which made me really happy. The soft-serve was unbelievably delicious. I don’t usually drink coffee, but Misuzu Coffee is so good that I decided to have it while in Hakodate. Being able to enjoy it as many times as you like until 10:00 p.m. is much appreciated—though my friend mentioned that in the morning there was only Misuzu Coffee. The bath is available even late at night, which is also very helpful. Even if you fall asleep after dinner and drinks, it’s great to be able to wake up and take a bath during the night. Dinner was an omakase sushi course that included fugu tatsuta-age; between the tuna selections and seasonal sushi, everything was satisfying and enjoyable. Breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options—I especially loved the soup curry. Overall, I think this is an excellent Accommodation with courteous front desk staff and a very positive impression. Just one thing: many Hotels these days provide deodorizing sprays, but I’m sensitive to fragrances—so I would prefer not having them in the Room or used during bed-making.

We stayed for one night to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. All the staff were always smiling, and their service was polite and attentive, so we had a very comfortable and enjoyable time. Upon arrival, we were shown to a private room next to the lobby, where we enjoyed some tea and sweets while choosing yukata. The lobby also had books and a souvenir shop. On the rooftop terrace there was a footbath, and we could truly relax while looking out over Lake Ashi and the surrounding mountains. We didn’t use them this time, but there was also a table tennis room (paid) and a kids’ room. The view from the open-air bath in our Room was amazing—I ended up soaking three times: on the first evening, at night, and again after breakfast on day two (haha). It seems they can also adjust the set temperature of the open-air bath upon request. In addition to the shower next to the open-air bath, there was also an indoor bathroom in the Room. I was happy that the hair dryer in the Room was ReFa. We had both dinner and breakfast during our stay. Both meals were served in the same private room we were shown to upon arrival. Dinner started at 18:00, and breakfast could be chosen between 8:30 or 9:00—great for someone like me who isn’t good at waking up early. Dinner included dishes such as salt-crusted grilled spiny lobster as well as lava-stone grilling of Kanagawa beef and Ashigara beef, which made it really fun. Both dinner and breakfast were truly excellent, and my girlfriend was very satisfied. The large public bath wasn’t very big, but it wasn’t crowded at all—we were able to bathe almost privately most of the time. The water was milky/opaque (nigoriyu), and my skin felt pleasantly soft afterward. I’ve been to Hakone several times, but it’s rare to find an Accommodation this good. We would definitely love to stay again. Thank you very much!

This was my third stay. I stayed in the same Room with a kitchen as last time. The Room had been renovated and was very clean. In the evening, we could see Mt. Fuji from the Room, which made my mother very happy. For dinner, instead of ordering the boat sashimi platter we had last time, we took out sushi and ate it in the Room. Dinner is served in your Room here, so you can relax without worrying about others. I wanted to take it easy in the morning, so I chose no breakfast. If you want a hearty breakfast, I recommend booking a plan with breakfast included.\nThe beach was quiet since it was before Obon. There were lifeguards on duty as well, so it felt safe. Unfortunately, perhaps because it was after 3:00 PM on the day we went, the beach huts were closed. It rained the next day, so we gave up on going to the beach—but students from some school were swimming even in the rain.\nI’d love to come back to Iwai for another beach trip next year too.

Despite the very low open price, the meals—such as the pilgrim menu—were generous in portion, and every dish was carefully prepared and wonderfully delicious. Both the Room and the entire property were thoroughly cleaned, so we had a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

I’ve stayed here many times, and this was the first time I was impressed that breakfast seating was open. Also, since it’s bonito season, they served a generous portion of delicious bonito sashimi in the morning! This is an area where even the grilled salmon is unbelievably good, so breakfast was already high quality—and then they added sashimi too. I was very satisfied! The Room and Facility are a bit old, but if that doesn’t bother you, I think it’s a great Accommodation. It’s also close to a convenience store.
