We stayed here to relax as a couple, and it was very quiet, just as we had hoped. We enjoyed both the indoor bath and the open-air Onsen, and the Room was spacious, allowing us to truly unwind. If we have the opportunity, we would like to stay again.

We were very satisfied with the hospitality, the meals, and the guest-only bath. Although it is a town-run Accommodation, the lawn outside was also well maintained, and we enjoyed a refreshing morning walk.

I have stayed at this Accommodation many times—before, during, and after COVID. Breakfast, the welcome drink, and other services have been thoughtfully adjusted over time, and I have always been very satisfied. However, on this visit there were issues with the facilities. The first Room I was shown had a toilet where water kept running continuously, and the noise was very bothersome. I asked the front desk to change Rooms; the next Room had a broken refrigerator. They kindly moved me again, but that Room had very loud mechanical noise as well. At that point I was too tired to request another change and stayed in that Room. I would like to continue staying here about once or twice a year. Even if some facilities are getting older, I believe that frequent repairs and replacements will resolve these inconveniences and restore the comfortable environment you used to provide. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Although it was a basement Room, I was surprised by the high quality. The bathroom and toilet had a sophisticated design and felt very clean. I wished there had been a place to hang wet towels. It’s conveniently located right in front of the station, so I’d like to stay again. I was also satisfied with dinner at the izakaya inside the Hotel.

Every year, I stay here on my way home from work. The Room with a view of Mt. Shari is spacious, quiet, clean, and has excellent air conditioning. The TV is small. The Onsen is also great. For meals, you can order à la carte at the restaurant and add a 60-minute all-you-can-drink plan for 1,500 yen. Sashimi dishes have disappeared from the menu... The staff are polite and welcoming, with friendly smiles.

Within walking distance of Omihachiman Station. Since I checked in after dark, I couldn’t tell at first, but in the morning I was reminded how convenient the location is. The Room was comfortable, and the bath was the best part. It was well maintained, and I could pleasantly relax and recover from travel fatigue.

An email arrived in advance with the Room number and the door code for the Room key, but when I went to the front desk, the staff took care of everything for me. Thank you! The Room was very clean, and the bed was so fluffy... I was able to relax and sleep soundly. A few things I noticed: the Room felt a bit dry, so my throat started to hurt, the bathroom drain had a slight odor, and since there aren’t any places to eat around the Facility, it was a bit inconvenient. I’d like to stay again.

Each private villa Room luxuriously features both an indoor Onsen bath with free-flowing spring water and an open-air bath. Some Rooms even have a pond, where you can feed the koi and enjoy a truly special escape from everyday life. Another highlight is the craftsmanship throughout each villa Room—every fitting and light fixture remains beautiful as a work of art, even with the passage of time. You’ll also be soothed by seasonal flowers and the songs of birds in every season. For dining, we made a Reservation in advance and walked about 10 minutes to an Italian restaurant (Antica Trattoria Dal Pirata). It was excellent, so we highly recommend it as well.

I stayed at another Accommodation in the same group not long ago, but this was my first return to Tamakiya in 10 years. Last time, discovering Abe Shuzo through the sake pairing was a real highlight, so I did it again this time. Since it was a special occasion, I decided to pay the extra fee and choose the optional premium sake course. It more than lived up to expectations—I truly enjoyed a wide range of excellent sakes, including some with a playful twist. The sommelier’s stories were fascinating, and I wished I could have listened even longer. I was traveling solo, but the staff were consistently courteous and attentive, no different from how they treated larger groups, which I really appreciated. The food was also outstanding: a course featuring plenty of local Niigata ingredients, with every dish delicious from appetizers to dessert. Next time, I’d love to stay in midwinter when there’s deep snow.

Flowers were in bloom, and we enjoyed the sounds of insects and owls, the breezes of Taketomi, and a breathtaking star-filled sky with the Milky Way unlike anything we had ever seen. We walked along white-sand paths from our Room to the lounge and restaurant, feeling close to nature each time—it was a wonderful experience. The pool and lounge were open 24 hours a day and were kept very clean. We had à la carte dinner for three nights, and everything was delicious.

Thank you very much for everything. The space was wonderful, and the meals were so delicious that I was truly moved. Since we originally planned to visit Ghibli Park on the second day, we stayed with dinner included and no breakfast. The entire place felt as if it connected to Ghibli Park—the garden, ornaments, furnishings, and even Baron!? in the dining room all resonated deeply with me. I will definitely come again to enjoy breakfast. Thank you very much.

I have stayed at many accommodations in Kaike Onsen, but this was my first time staying with my beloved dog. The onsen and the meals were extremely satisfying. It seems like the place is run by a family. While modern ryokans are nice, I personally love traditional accommodations with this kind of classic atmosphere. I would love to stay here again with my family and dog if I have the chance. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

All the staff are so kind! The Ishibutai Tumulus is very close by, and if you walk a little further there are more ancient burial mounds—it's amazing! The Room is even nicer than in the photos. 　The Asuka scenery is beautiful, and you can also see Mt. Nijo. Relaxing in the hammock on the balcony was wonderful! 　The BALMUDA kettle and the coffee packs were delicious! There were lots of tasteful books in the stairwell area, and I really enjoyed them. The manga “Tenjo no Niji” was so interesting—I want to read more! 　Breakfast was great too—the white rice was glossy and delicious! Maybe because there are only five rooms, it’s quiet in the morning and you can eat at a relaxed pace. 　They also store your luggage after checkout! When I mentioned we were going for a walk to Asukadera Temple and Iruka’s Kubizuka, they gave us frozen Aquarius sports drink and Ramune candies to help prevent heatstroke. So grateful!

Booked a twin room urgently for a memorial service. I knew it was right in front of the Yaizu Interchange, and overall, it was a satisfying Business Hotel. Perhaps because it was a weekday, the Room, large public bath, and breakfast area were compact yet clean, quiet, and relaxing. The breakfast had many options, but I wished there were more fish dishes to reflect Yaizu's local flavor. The only concern was the smell from the unit bath's drainage system.

Despite its name, this is a very ordinary Hotel. Since there is no staff at the front desk, it may be a good choice for guests who prefer minimal interaction. The services are neither particularly good nor bad. The biggest advantage of this Hotel is that you can stay at a low price despite its convenient location.

Tucked away a little off the prefectural road, this Accommodation is quietly situated—and truly wonderful. With only a small number of guest Rooms, they seem to focus on attentive hospitality. The meals were outstanding at both dinner and breakfast—so generous you’ll wonder if it’s really okay to eat that much. The price is a bit on the high side, but the value for money is excellent; everything was carefully prepared and genuinely delicious. We stayed as a couple, and the Room was quiet, spacious, and spotless. The Onsen was also fantastic and incredibly relaxing. The open-air bath is wide and spacious, and you can stretch out on a reclining chair in front of nature with nothing on—an amazing refresh that lets you forget everyday life for a while. There was complimentary summer mandarin juice at both the front desk and the large public bath area, and it was delicious too. Our Room had a semi-open-air bath, but that one felt fairly standard. I’m very disappointed that I slept in and missed going to the morning public bath. I’d love to stay again—the staff’s sincerity really came through.

With multiple events overlapping and Hotel rates for Saturday nights soaring across the board, I was able to stay at a very reasonable price. Also, although my Saturday and Sunday stays ended up as separate Reservations, thank you for treating them as a Multiple Night Stay. Since I used a double Room by myself, I was able to stay very comfortably. The amenities and in-room Facility were well equipped, and best of all, the station right in front is fantastic. If I have the chance to visit Hokkaido again, this is a Hotel I would like to use again.

I do worry that if I rate this place 5 stars, it’ll become even more popular and harder to get a Reservation—but I’ll be honest. Since my first stay, the great location and wonderful employees have made this my go-to Hotel whenever I’m in Tokyo. This time, did the staff get younger? Everyone’s greetings were excellent. I choose between Japanese or Western breakfast depending on my mood, so I usually eat nearby in the morning, and their cheerful “Have a great day” and “Welcome back” made me feel really good. For the first time, I stayed in a Room on the 2nd floor next to the neighboring building, and I noticed some noise—maybe trains? I’m not sure what it was… It bothered me a little. It’s not the Hotel’s fault, though, so my 5-star rating stays the same.

Thank you for your hospitality. The unmanned check-in system really feels like the times we live in. A few things I noticed: the conditioner was too thick to dispense even when pressed; it would be nice to have a trash bin in the bathroom and vanity area; I’d be happy if there were more amenities for women; and I’d like a towel rack in the toilet. If I start listing wishes, there’s no end, haha. I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you as well for your efforts to keep it affordable.

The staff are very pleasant, and I use this Hotel every time. The Room is clean, and the satisfaction level is high; I really like this Hotel. I will use it again. Thank you very much.
