I stayed for two nights, one with No Meals Included and the other with dinner and breakfast included. Learning about the centuries of history cherished by everyone in this mountain area was truly inspiring. I had a very comfortable stay, feeling protected by the mountains, which allowed me to sleep soundly. The local cuisine prepared by the community was exceptional (starting with tempura of sweet buns and many other unique dishes!). Knowing that hot water was boiled using firewood added to my happiness! It was hard to leave, and since I couldn’t see the starry sky this time, I hope to visit again!

We stayed for one night with three dogs to celebrate the New Year, and it turned out to be a highly satisfying experience. Considering the year-end traffic and the cold weather in Karuizawa, we opted for the bullet train this time. After exploring the outlet mall directly connected to the station, we took a taxi for about 11 minutes at a cost of approximately 3,500 yen. Later, we found out that Shuttle Service was available, so checking in advance would make things smoother. The property is very spacious—about half the size of Tokyo Dome by feel—and fully enclosed. It felt like an entire dog park, providing great peace of mind when traveling with pets. Although limited to one group per day, there are three tents available. For two people it feels luxurious; six people might strike a better balance. The dogs were relaxed throughout our stay and enjoyed their freedom without concern for others—a major highlight. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with drinks and used the sauna before dinner. The sauna allowed "löyly" (steam infusion) with around nine types of aroma oils provided. At about 90°C (194°F), it was perfect for working up a good sweat. While there wasn’t a cold plunge pool available, winter’s chilly outdoor air sufficed without inconvenience. The distance from the sauna to showers could be improved slightly; however, having a bonfire area right outside made outdoor relaxation part of its charm—I wish we'd checked in earlier! Dinner was BBQ-style featuring high-quality meats and vegetables along with delicious fish appetizers and soup as starters. A selection of wines including red wine starting at 5,500 yen as well as white wine and champagne were also offered. The BBQ venue had enclosures and heaters ensuring comfort even during colder seasons. The Room felt chilly due to exposure from outside air but came equipped with electric blankets plus heaters making sleeping conditions manageable overall—though stronger or additional heating units would enhance comfort further especially if you're sensitive towards cold temperatures; bringing extra warm clothing is recommended! Morning began again inside saunas followed by breakfast consisting thoughtfully prepared soup alongside Akagi beef shigureni bento boxes which delivered both satisfying portions & flavors alike! Throughout every interaction staff maintained pleasant professionalism striking ideal balance between attentiveness yet respecting privacy leaving lasting positive impressions behind too! Finally returning back via Shuttle Service ensured seamless end-to-end convenience concluding memorable stay altogether! Looking forward revisiting during spring/autumn seasons next time experiencing different scenery/atmosphere altogether anew!

I have used it three times in the past, and since it's a great place, I gifted it to my son and his wife this time. They were very pleased, saying the location and scenery were excellent.

It was hard to find a place where I could bring my dog, but staying together in Kyoto without any worries made me very happy. We had dinner at a nearby restaurant and only requested breakfast, but the bread was delicious and satisfying. I apologize for taking extra time during check-out due to packing and tidying up. I would love to visit again!

Although it was quite chilly for spring, the Facility staff kindly provided advice on how to stay warm, allowing us to enjoy a fun barbecue. The warmth from the barbecue fire helped keep the cold at bay. Those who just wanted to eat stayed cozy in the kotatsu. Since the barbecue grill had wide mesh, an aluminum BBQ plate would have been helpful. Inside the lodge, most of the space was taken up by a kitchen and beds, so it felt a bit cramped when we couldn’t go outside due to weather or temperature—this might have been more noticeable because we were a large group. Breakfast was delivered from a nearby café; however, due to the cold weather, the coffee was slightly lukewarm. Perhaps providing coffee in pots and pouring it into cups on-site could be an option? The food itself was delicious!

Thank you for the wonderful and happy time. We recently stayed here for a family trip. As it has become rare for us to gather as a family since everyone is now working, this trip was very special. Thanks to the attentive service, well-equipped facilities, and the cozy, home-like atmosphere, we were able to spend a truly happy time together. For meals, we arranged both BBQ and a private chef service, and both exceeded our expectations with their excellent service and delicious food. The location is also great, within walking distance to the center of Old Karuizawa, allowing us to enjoy morning and evening strolls. We would love to stay here again someday.

We stayed for three nights to enjoy river activities and a meal at the ayu fish weir. Since our stay did not include dinner, it was convenient to adjust by eating out nearby or having light meals from a convenience store. As this was right after the earthquake, we refrained from playing in the nearby river, but there are many spots around where you can play at the headwaters of the river, so we still had a wonderful time. We spent enriching moments watching the river from the Accommodation’s veranda and setting off fireworks in the garden. The Japanese-made fireworks we bought at the Accommodation had a charming feel, so we also purchased some as souvenirs. We are grateful for the thoughtful hospitality of everyone at the Accommodation. They also played with our child, which allowed us as a couple to relax. Kosa Town is conveniently located, people are kind, and you can enjoy nature—there’s nothing more to ask for. We will visit again.

Relax in a well-equipped, stylish, and spacious living room, enjoy BBQ on the terrace with a sea view, and spend comfortable moments in the cozy bedrooms for an unforgettable family time. The bathroom is spacious as well, offering an Onsen-like experience. This accommodation provides everything you need for a perfect stay.

We stayed with my daughter’s family, my son, and our grandchildren as a large group. The place was very spacious and everyone was excited. We also rented the BBQ set, and it was easy to use and well prepared, which really helped. Bugs are unavoidable this time of year, and you’ll see them at any whole-house rental, but quite a lot came into the pool area after evening. Overall we were very satisfied and would like to stay again. The manager was also very kind. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was a two-story, whole-building rental Facility renovated from a traditional storehouse. While it retained its old-world charm, everything was very clean overall. The bathroom and other water areas were modern and comfortable, and even though it was February, it never felt cold at all. The handmade furniture and the provided folk-craft tableware were all thoughtfully chosen and truly lovely. Some items were available for purchase, but unfortunately the wine glasses I especially liked weren’t for sale—I’m still looking for something similar. The location was easy to access, the staff were kind, and it was an excellent Facility that exceeded expectations. The breakfast bread and fruit were delicious as well, making for a very comfortable stay.

We stayed here as a family in summer. It’s about 1–1.5 hours by car to sightseeing spots such as central Hiroshima and Miyajima, so I wouldn’t say it’s very convenient, but the property sits on a small hill overlooking peaceful farmland. There’s lots of greenery around, the stars are easy to see at night, and we were able to relax away from the crowds in a comfortable setting. We visited in midsummer, but it was cool, and even with a campfire at night it didn’t feel hot, so it’s also great as a summer retreat. The BBQ set was an optional add-on and felt a bit pricey, which was disappointing, but the equipment was well stocked and easy to use even for beginners. The bath wasn’t an Onsen, but it was clean. There seems to be a sauna as well, but since it was optional we didn’t use it. I think ratings would be even higher if the sauna were included in the standard Plan. It was self check-in so we didn’t interact with staff directly, but the Facility was clean and well supplied with amenities, and we could really feel the thoughtful attention to detail. We’d like to stay again when visiting Hiroshima.

I stayed at the S Building for a solo trip for 2 nights. I traveled by train without using a car. Here are some points for those considering similar accommodations: - I traveled with a backpack, but if you're using the train, carrying a suitcase can be challenging as you need to climb a mountain path from Toge Station. - Depending on the season, there are many stink bugs. After enjoying the sauna and cold bath, I wanted to relax on the chair, but stink bugs occupied both the chair and its surroundings. - There is no TV available. - Bears have been spotted in the area, so walking alone can be quite thrilling. - Rainy days are recommended! Stink bugs don't appear, and you'll feel deeply relaxed by the sound of streams flowing, raindrops hitting trees, and their refreshing scent.
