Last time, we arrived after visiting other sightseeing spots and felt a bit rushed, so we made this reservation hoping to relax properly this time. Fortunately, we were blessed with great weather and truly enjoyed not only the dinner course, but also the sunset and breakfast on the balcony. Based on photos from our previous stay, my daughter created a printmaking piece, and I came wearing a T-shirt printed with it—so I was happy to be able to show it to everyone. I’m writing to let you know that the dishes we ordered through “Let’s Eat at Home Today!” arrived safely today. We’ll enjoy them while reminiscing about our stay. We look forward to seeing you again someday. Thank you very much.

This was my second visit since coming in May. My dog (my beloved “daughter”) was thrilled. It was about 5°C cooler than down below, but the late-summer heat was still intense, and it felt hot in the sun. My dog ran around the nature-filled dog run and had a great time. Because it was a weekday after the Obon holidays, it wasn’t crowded, so we could relax and enjoy ourselves. The building was clean, and the Room was also very clean. The large public bath felt like we had it to ourselves, so we could unwind and fully enjoy it. (We went twice.) The food was delicious as well. Since it’s close to home, it’s easy to plan travel time both ways, and for me this Facility has an ideal location. I’d love to take another overnight trip with my dog. All of the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Thank you very much.

I stayed here after visiting a family grave in Ota City. I have visited Izumo Taisha many times, but this was my first time staying overnight. It was just a short walk to Izumo Taisha, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The hot spring was also great. Although I didn’t have dinner, they brought a local sake tasting set to my room. I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were very satisfied. The staff were also extremely friendly. Taking off our shoes at the entrance helped us relax even more. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity!

On the last day of our 3-night, 4-day trip to Hokkaido, we decided to treat ourselves a little and chose to stay here. We visited Shirahige Falls and the Blue Pond, and also stopped by a farm in Biei. The staff member who guided us in the parking lot was very friendly, and we had a nice chat—I tend to strike up conversations right away... The room and the meals were excellent! It made for a wonderful pearl anniversary. Thank you very much.

This was our second stay, and it was a wonderful Room where we could enjoy an open-air rock bath while looking out at the beautiful garden (with an indoor bath as well). Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and my elderly mother was very satisfied. The service was excellent, and we truly appreciate all your help.

The staff provide courteous and kind service. The bath and in-room amenities are well stocked. As it was midwinter, a warming gel pack had been placed inside the bedding, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of a cozy, warm futon. The Room air conditioner kept us plenty warm, and a fan heater was also provided as a backup to further heat the room if needed. The meals were excellent in both taste and portion size. We were able to fully enjoy spiny lobster until we were completely satisfied. Overall, it is a wonderful Accommodation with an elegant atmosphere.

I stayed for one night, and it was a wonderful Hotel from start to finish. The Room uses a PIN code system with no key, so it was very convenient to go out without having to carry a key around. In the evening, alcoholic drinks were all-you-can-drink (free). It was a shame the large public bath didn’t have an open-air bath, but it was clean and the alkaline Onsen water was excellent. Breakfast offered a great selection of both Japanese and Western dishes, and I was very satisfied. I was also impressed by the thoughtful services—being able to choose your pillow, and free coffee and drinks available at all times. What makes this Hotel stand out is how they thoroughly reduce operating costs within what guests can reasonably accept—such as shortening breakfast hours to about two hours, asking guests to help with tidying up, using PIN codes instead of keys, and not handing out unnecessary amenities—and then use those savings to enhance guest services like free drinks and alcohol overall. I felt this approach significantly increases satisfaction. I admired how well they strike that perfect balance where you feel like thinking, “They do so much for us—so we can do this much in return.” I would definitely like to stay again.

Both the Room and the entire Accommodation were clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. The Onsen warmed us through to the core and helped relieve our travel fatigue. The meals were a delight both visually and in taste, and the steak in particular was outstanding. We had no contact with other guests, making it a quiet, relaxing space. Conversations with the staff were also pleasant, and we were very satisfied. We would love to visit again in a different season.

The Accommodation’s calm atmosphere, the cuisine, and the baths were all wonderful, but what impressed me most was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Everyone we spoke with combined deep knowledge with warm, attentive service, making our stay truly comfortable. I initially wondered if this trip might be a bit luxurious for traveling with my three underage sons, but they seemed to experience what true quality means, and I am now wholeheartedly satisfied.

The staff’s attentive hospitality and thoughtful care were truly wonderful, and I was able to spend a very comfortable stay from check-in to check-out. The interior of the property and the room features a calm Japanese-modern design in greige tones, with impeccable taste in decor. It was exactly my kind of style, so I found myself simply gazing around and feeling soothed. The rooftop lounge offered an abundant selection of juices, alcoholic drinks, coffee, Atami’s famous sweets, and light snacks. I couldn’t believe I could choose so freely—can I really have any of these?—and I got genuinely excited. Sipping drinks, enjoying sweets, soaking in the foot bath… it was such a luxurious time taking in the views of Atami. The staff also maintained the perfect level of attentiveness—providing towels to dry our feet and preparing drinks—so considerate in every way. I’m truly grateful. What especially impressed me was the full-course dinner. Each dish was beautifully presented—not only a feast for the eyes—but also had deep flavors with sauces crafted down to the finest detail. I was genuinely moved. Even now, looking back at my photos brings back that lingering feeling: how beautiful it was and how delicious everything tasted. Everything—the room, the meals, and the hospitality—was perfect. It was a place where I could truly refresh from the heart. I feel fully recharged; I’ll do my best day by day and hope to return again someday. Thank you very much.

The hospitality felt more like a luxury Ryokan than a temple lodging. Our Room was upgraded to a special suite, and we were able to relax in the spacious “Hojo” Room overlooking an expansive garden. The shojin-ryori cuisine was beautifully presented and delicious throughout. After dinner, we took a short walk (about 3 minutes) to Danjo Garan. With bonfires lit and the area illuminated, we caught a glimpse of Kobo Daishi’s mandala world through sights such as Konpon Daito, Saito Pagoda, and Kondo Hall. The next morning, we joined the morning service from 6:00 a.m., which felt truly solemn and moving. The Dharma talk by Archbishop Miyata explained Buddhism from a global perspective with humor, making it easy to understand. I strongly feel that Koyasan is best experienced with an overnight stay. Upon arrival, we were promptly shown to a sofa in the airy, open-atrium lobby and checked in while being served a chilled hand towel and tea. Like the guest room with its wooden floors and white walls, the entire property features a simple, calming interior throughout—an inviting space to truly unwind. Above all, the dining was outstanding. The ingredient-focused Italian cuisine far exceeded expectations and was genuinely authentic. The full-service Western-style breakfast was also thoroughly satisfying. Thanks to the staff’s warm hospitality and high level of professionalism, it was a wonderful stay. The round trip took two full days just for travel, but it was absolutely worth making the journey.

I had been struggling with light sleep and not feeling well-rested for quite some time, when I happened to see the words “sleep therapy” on IKYU and decided to book immediately. Services like this are often available for only one guest, so it was wonderful that both of us could receive the treatment at the same time. My husband was also very pleased. The Room lighting, Onsen temperature, and bedding were all thoughtfully arranged as well, and thanks to that, we both slept soundly through the night. From the welcome sweets onward, both dinner and breakfast were delicious. However, it was a little disappointing that the Tajima beef was served on a hot plate rather than charcoal-grilled. With a hot plate, you don’t really get the benefits of charcoal grilling, so it felt like some of the flavor was lost. The staff were full of hospitality and absolutely wonderful. It was our first visit to Yumura Onsen, but we loved its charming atmosphere and sense of tradition, so we definitely want to return. When we do, we would of course like to book a Plan that includes the sleep therapy again. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us.

We stayed here as a couple for our wedding anniversary. It seemed we had the place to ourselves by chance, so we were able to truly relax. Every dish was carefully prepared, and everything was a flavor we had never tried before—absolutely delicious. The owners were also very kind, and we had a wonderful time. We would love to come back and stay again at a leisurely pace.

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique, local pension. Everything was exactly as described. The meals were the highlight of our stay. The owner is a very kind and friendly lady, and we truly appreciated her warm welcome. One minor note for guests traveling with large luggage: there is no elevator, so please pack light if possible.

While solo stays at Onsen Accommodations can be difficult to find, Uematsuya is a welcome option for solo travelers. They also offer a Shuttle Service from the station, which was a big help with my heavy luggage. Bessho Onsen is a small hot spring town, so you can explore the sights on foot. The Ryokan’s Facility is old but well maintained and clean. I was able to enjoy the Onsen at a relaxed pace without running into other guests. The meals were delicious as well. At the dining area, a trainee served us with great dedication, which was truly heartwarming to see.

The room was spotless, and the amenities were excellent—just what you’d expect from the long-established Hotel New Grand. For breakfast, I considered room service but went to the restaurant for the Monte Cristo sandwich. The incredibly fluffy French toast and the savory bacon-and-cheese saltiness were outstanding. The tomato juice served with what was probably a domestically grown, unwaxed lemon was also superb. I’ll definitely be back!

It was a truly wonderful hotel. I visited Kanazawa with my elderly mother, and booking a hotel in such a great location surrounded by sightseeing spots was absolutely the right choice. Getting around by taxi was smooth and easy.\nBefore check-in we arrived early, but we were promptly shown to our room as they told us it was already ready, which made my mother very happy.\nThe carpets and wall art throughout the hotel were exactly our style and really lifted our spirits.\nWe were also captivated by the Kutani ware mugs and teacups provided in the room. It made us feel, “We’re really traveling in Kanazawa!” and we were so pleased.\nThe coffee tasted especially delicious in those cups, but it was a little disappointing that the same ones weren’t available in the gift shop.\nInstead, we bought Kutani ware as souvenirs at a Kutani shop on our way home.\nFor dinner, since I was traveling with my elderly mother, I had requested seats as close to the buffet tables as possible, but they kindly prepared a private room nearby for us.\nThanks to that, we were able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace.\nThank you very much.\nI truly appreciate the staff’s thoughtful attention to detail.\nWe were very satisfied with both the quality and quantity of everything—from Kanazawa specialties like jibuni stew and Kanazawa oden to nodoguro sushi and dessert.\nHere as well, many beautiful pieces of pottery such as Kutani ware were used for small plates, allowing us to enjoy the food visually too.\nI rated the facilities 4 stars only because my elderly mother felt that overall the interior of the hotel seemed rather dark—this is just our personal impression.\nAfter checkout we took the shuttle bus to the station; it was a large sightseeing coach and very comfortable.\nThank you for taking such good care of us.\nWe would love to stay again.

My first trip to Shizuoka was very comfortable. The Facility was new and pleasant. One disappointing point was that they couldn’t arrange a taxi, and when I was told to handle it ourselves because they couldn’t get through, I felt disappointed that some Hotels are like this.
