I visited with my wife. Even in the rain, the staff waited for our arrival and came out to greet us with an umbrella. We were truly impressed by their thoughtful and warm hospitality. The meals were excellent, featuring Japanese cuisine made with plenty of fresh seafood from Chiba, as well as generous portions of meat and vegetables. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious—I ended up eating more than I intended. The semi-open-air Onsen bath attached to our Room was also wonderful, and we were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen at our own pace without worrying about others. The food, Onsen, and service were all outstanding, allowing us to spend a peaceful time together as a couple. We would love to visit again.

The lake could be seen from our Room, the dining area, and even the bath, and we were able to truly relax from the heart. The meals were gentle and beautifully presented without overpowering the natural flavors of the ingredients, the portions were just right, and everything was absolutely delicious. The proprietress’s thoughtful care and the kindness of everyone at the Accommodation could be felt in so many ways. It’s far away so we can’t visit often, but this time we even got to enjoy fireworks as a special treat, and staying at your Accommodation became a truly wonderful memory.

We stayed as a family. We really appreciated being able to freely enjoy the welcome drinks and snacks, video games, massage chairs, and more without it feeling overcrowded. The table tennis and darts were also available 24 hours whenever they were open, and since no Reservation was required, it was easy to join in and we enjoyed them many times. It was also nice to have services like cooling sheets and face masks, and we were happy to find a ReFa hair dryer as well. Dinner was delicious—the half buffet and seafood barbecue were so good, with more than enough food. In the morning there was limited-time seafood that we could make into a rice bowl, plus the famous fried oysters, fruit, sweets—everything was excellent and we were extremely satisfied. The Room was lovely and comfortable, and this is a Hotel we would like to stay at again. Thanks to you, it became a truly memorable and fun trip. Thank you very much.

I felt it was a classic, charming old Japanese Hotel. The building’s presence, the restaurant, the guest rooms, and the interior were all wonderful. I stayed on a Plan with breakfast and dinner included. The food was just as delicious as what you’d find at Hotels in Tokyo, and they kindly accommodated my dietary dislikes so I could fully enjoy the meals. All of the staff provided excellent service, and I felt everything throughout my stay was great. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

The Rooms in the new building were well-designed and clean, making for a very comfortable stay. Dinner featured many ingredients from Mie Prefecture and the Kumano area, and the sashimi was delicious. The staff were kind, and we appreciated having a laundry room as well as discounts on souvenirs.

This Accommodation is a day-use Onsen Facility with lodging, overlooking the satoyama landscape of Okuizumo. Thank you for letting us stay at a very reasonable rate as part of the “Special Room Grand Reopening Commemorative” offer. The Room was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator was well stocked with complimentary drinks such as beer, chu-hi, sake, and tea. There was also a coffee machine with plenty of coffee beans provided—perfect for coffee lovers. The open-air bath is not very open, but it is free-flowing from the source. However, since the source temperature is low at 29°C, it was disappointing that hot water needs to be added. Because it was hot in July, we mostly bathed using the source water as-is. When I returned to the air-conditioned Room I felt chilly at first, but afterward my body warmed up from the core. The large public bath was far from the Special Room, but I still went three times. I noticed a slight chlorine smell, but it was nicely warm. It would be ideal if the in-room bath’s spring water could be heated. For dinner we had the top-tier “Matsu Kaiseki” at a table in the restaurant. At this great price (50,000 yen), we were fully satisfied; however, if it were priced at 70,000–80,000 yen or more for two people, I think more creativity would be needed both in the dining setting and in the meal content. As of writing this Review on IKYU.com , it seems that Special Rooms are not currently being sold there. We were glad to enjoy beautiful satoyama views with no solar panels or anything else in sight from this Accommodation. All staff served us with warm smiles and pleasant hospitality. I also appreciated that most staff were local Japanese rather than foreign workers. We support hardworking Japanese Ryokan like yours. If charging regular rates, we hope you will consider adding one more step of “specialness” worthy of a Special Room. We would love to stay again.

It was compact yet clean. This is a Hotel where women can feel safe staying. It’s also close to the station, and there are restaurants nearby at night, making it very convenient. I will use it again.

I stopped by and stayed here on my way back to my hometown. Since I’d heard it was attached to a day-use Onsen Facility, I didn’t expect much—but I couldn’t have been more wrong. From the building’s appearance to every detail of the indoor Facilities, everything was impeccably maintained and welcoming. Above all, I was amazed by the staff’s hospitality. They anticipated guests’ needs before being asked—truly top-tier service. The Onsen uses water from the well-known Nakatsugawa Onsen source, and it felt wonderfully silky on the skin. The meal was a creative kaiseki course featuring plenty of Gifu ingredients, with outstanding taste, quality, portion size, and presentation. The room was beautifully kept, and I had a completely comfortable stay with no inconveniences at all. This is an exceptional Onsen Accommodation that I’ll definitely return to.

Due to various circumstances, I hadn’t been able to visit for quite some time, so this was my first stay in about two years—but it was still an Accommodation that left me completely satisfied, just as always. From the Shuttle Service onward, everyone was kind and helpful, and after arriving the stay was truly comfortable—warm and homey—and I was able to relax at a leisurely pace and unwind from everyday stress. At check-in I was told, “Our sommelier is on duty today.” I love wine and always look forward to dinner here, and this time the sommelier came to my table and kindly explained many things in detail to someone like me who’s simply a wine lover without much knowledge. Just listening and imagining those explanations while drinking made it an incredibly enjoyable time. Of course, every dish was delicious as well. Thank you for your thoughtful care even though I was traveling solo. I felt lucky that my stay happened to coincide with a day when the sommelier was working. This Accommodation always makes me feel a little sad when it’s time to leave—and from that very moment it makes me think, “I’ll work hard so I can come back again.” I will definitely stay again. - I stayed here on a business trip from Tokyo to Nagoya. - I also borrowed a few amenities (a smartphone cable and nail clippers), and the staff were kind and welcoming with warm smiles. - The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the energetic service from the staff was impressive. - The double Room was comfortable, and I was able to use the large public bath (a bit small) almost privately. - The only downside was that the elevator was crowded in the morning, and some guests couldn’t get on, so I recommend allowing extra time when leaving. It was a Hotel that was easy to reach from Osaka Station without getting lost. The large public bath and sauna were clean, and I was able to relax a lot. Three of us stayed (a group of women), but unfortunately the cute yukata in the Room were only available in one M size and one 1L size, so only one person could wear one. I probably should have requested more. The large public bath had skincare items such as cleansing products, but I would have liked them in the Room as well—again, something I probably should have requested. The room service menu had a great variety and everything was delicious. The view wasn’t great, but it’s a Hotel I’d be happy to visit again.

We had a truly wonderful time. The homemade-style meals, the thoughtfully prepared Room and space, and the open-air bath while listening to the sound of the waves were all exceptional. The all-inclusive plan was very satisfying. And we were deeply moved by the former proprietress’s storytelling. It reminded us to feel grateful once again for being alive—being allowed to live—here and now. Thank you very much. This is a highly recommended Accommodation.

The round-trip Shuttle Service was available, which we really appreciated. It’s in a quiet location, so we were able to relax. All the staff we met were polite and provided excellent service. As others have mentioned, the meals were the best we’ve had among all Kyoritsu Group properties we’ve visited. Since spiny lobster was unavailable due to the closed season, abalone sashimi was served instead—everything tasted great, and the portion was surprisingly generous. One small concern: right after check-in, at the open-air area of the rock-bath public bath (toward the back), there were quite large dead insects (beetles and moths). Given the natural surroundings it may be unavoidable, but I’d appreciate it if that area could also be checked more carefully.

We stayed in the Force Room. Thank you for accommodating our last-minute Reservation.\nAlthough the Room is a separate building with a thatched roof, it is not an old traditional house; the interior has the latest facilities, so we were able to stay as comfortably as we would at a city Hotel.\nFrom the Room, we could see the thatched roofs of other rooms, and it felt like we had traveled back in time to another world.\nWe used the spacious open-air bath in our Room; the hot spring water was slightly cloudy with mineral deposits floating on top, and it was wonderful.\nThe large public bath is also right by the river, offering an open, airy feel and an excellent location.\nHighly recommended Accommodation.

This was my first time visiting Amanohashidate, and thanks to all the staff, I had a truly wonderful stay. The Room—including the semi-open-air bath, comfortable changing area, spacious Japanese-style room, living area, and bedroom—was spotless and could not have been better. Everyone on the staff was kind and approachable. The meals were also excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private dining room with an ocean view, where we could relax and enjoy the sunset and evening atmosphere, as well as the sunrise in the morning. Every dish was carefully prepared, with gentle seasoning that we really appreciated. If there is one point for improvement, it would be that the bath water temperature felt a bit lukewarm. For the open-air bath in the Room, it would have been nice to be able to adjust the temperature. If I simply missed an operation panel, I apologize. I would love to visit again if I have the chance. I stayed at your accommodation two and a half years ago. At that time, the Hokuriku Shinkansen had not yet opened in Fukui Prefecture, so the nearest station was Takefu Station on the Hokuriku Main Line (now Happiline Fukui), and it took about 10 minutes by taxi to reach your accommodation. Now, with Echizen-Takefu Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen as the nearest station, it is conveniently located within walking distance for those traveling by Shinkansen. The room I stayed in was on the top floor of your seven-story accommodation. As shown in the images, you can see Route 8, the Hokuriku Shinkansen, and Hokuriku Expressway from there; however, my room faced away from Echizen-Takefu Station and Takefu Interchange. The design of this room reminded me of a hotel near Kanazawa Station (Via Inn Kanazawa), where a bed was placed next to a sofa in a similar layout. After relaxing briefly in my room, I went to the dining area on the first floor. The menu included some local specialties from Fukui (such as Echizen soba and sauce katsudon). I chose sauce katsudon for my meal. Afterward, I returned to my room and enjoyed a pleasant time there. The next morning when I looked out of my window, I saw beautiful morning scenery (as shown in two images). After checking out of your accommodation, I walked to Echizen-Takefu Station and boarded the Shinkansen for further sightseeing. I was truly impressed with staying at your hotel near this convenient Shinkansen station location. Thank you very much! I'd love to stay again!

Conveniently located near Saito-Miyakonojo Station and Hiroguchi Bus Stop, making it easy to find. The building is new, and the rooms and facilities are very clean. The "Tabibito no Yu" on the first floor is a natural Onsen, very clean with a large bath where you can relax and unwind. Breakfast offers both Japanese and Western options with a good variety and delicious taste. Within a 5-minute walk, there are many izakayas (Japanese pubs) and yakiniku restaurants, so there's no need to worry about dinner. I visited an izakaya where I enjoyed Miyazaki beef, pork, and chicken at an incredible value not seen in Tokyo. If I have another chance to visit Miyakonojo, I would love to stay here again!

I was feeling down because it was a pretty tough business trip, but the beautifully clean Hotel room, delicious meals, and the warmth of the staff truly comforted me. Next time, I’d like to come for something other than work!

Because of the slope, this Ryokan was a bit far from the seven Onsen, and walking around inside in geta sandals was difficult. However, the two private baths were excellent, and I used them many times. The Room was clean and made for an enjoyable stay, and the meals were delicious. The young staff member in charge was kind and courteous, so I felt very comfortable throughout my stay.

Thank you very much for having us during our stay. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed our meals comfortably on a floor with a wonderful view. In particular, the handwritten message and lovely illustrations at breakfast were very soothing, and we truly felt the staff’s kindness. Thank you.
