K-style Goshonishi

My spouse and I, an older couple, stayed for one night.It was quiet thanks to the location just off a small side street, the front desk staff were kind and helpful, and the Room was very clean.We parked our car at the coin-operated parking lot next door.We enjoyed a morning walk in the Kyoto Imperial Palace Park. It seems you can also have breakfast at a shop inside the park from 8:00 a.m.Some people may feel that the Hotel is a bit far from the station or that there isn’t a convenience store nearby, but for us—living somewhere much less convenient—it didn’t bother us at all (laughs).Everything was so great that we made another Reservation for a few months from now.That’s about it.

It was a first-floor Four Room. As mentioned in other Reviews, I was a bit concerned that the living area felt slightly dark even during the day, and the Hotel entrance is hard to spot—at night you might walk past it, so please be careful. Other than that, it was very comfortable. The kitchen had a sponge, detergent, and paper towels. What it didn’t have was plastic wrap, a peeler, and a lid for the frying pan. There were only four plates, so if you plan to cook properly, I recommend bringing disposable plates. There is also a microwave. A rice cooker can be borrowed. If you choose a Plan with no cleaning service, it’s better to bring your own sponge and detergent for cleaning the bathroom. Shampoo and other amenities are provided. Plans described as “good value” may not include cleaning service, so please check in advance. There was a fairly large washing machine in the washroom and detergent was provided as well. Laundry dried in about 4 hours using the bathroom dryer function. There was plenty of storage space too—it was such a comfortable Room that I felt like I could live there. Convenience stores and supermarkets are a bit far away, but the sashimi at the supermarket near Marutamachi Station (about a 10-minute walk) was fresh and delicious. I stayed 4 nights and would like to use this Hotel again.
