The abundant nature of Towada-Hachimantai and its free-flowing hot spring source will soothe both body and mind. As the name “Yuze” is said to have come from “hot water bubbling up from the river shallows,” this Onsen is rich in volume and has long been praised as a “beauty bath,” known for being especially gentle on the skin. At our creative Akita local cuisine buffet, enjoy signature dishes such as Kazuno’s original Kiritanpo Nabe, along with locally branded ingredients like Hinai Jidori chicken and Hachimantai pork, plus seasonal dishes made with ingredients at their peak.
Both the dinner and breakfast buffets, featuring many local specialties, were delicious and very satisfying. The baths—both indoor and open-air—were clean, with wonderful views, and we were very pleased. Alcoholic welcome drinks were also available until 11:00 p.m., which we enjoyed after our bath. The meals and baths were excellent, offering outstanding value for money. We would love to stay again. It was a wonderful trip. Thank you very much.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 7/4/2026I stayed here solo in June. Most of the passengers who got off at Yuze-Onsen Station were using this Hotel. When I contacted them, they came to pick me up right away, which I really appreciated. On the way back, the train schedule didn’t work for me so I took an express bus, and they even drove me to the bus stop. I was very satisfied with how delicious the meals were and how wide the selection was, but above all, the free-flowing Onsen fed directly from the source was wonderful. The “Meditation Bath” is great—I’ve never been able to soak in such quiet surroundings before. The “Beauty Bath” was also lovely, with a pleasant breeze outside. I especially recommend going in the morning. It takes about five hours with transfers from Tokyo, but it’s a place I want to visit again.

Our Signature Bath: Yuze Onsen
The name “Yuze” is said to come from the way hot water once welled up from the river shallows. This Onsen offers an abundant flow of water and is exceptionally gentle on the skin. In the open-air bath, you can listen to the murmuring stream and experience the changing seasons with all five senses, surrounded by forested mountain ridges rising overhead.
A creative buffet and Japanese set meals featuring carefully selected seasonal ingredients from Akita.
Meals are served for both breakfast and dinner, featuring Akita’s distinctive cuisine made with local ingredients and the flavors of Northern Tohoku (often described as slightly more strongly seasoned). In addition to “Kiritanpo Nabe,” a hot pot said to have originated in Kazuno, we offer Hinai Jidori—one of Japan’s three great native chicken breeds—and branded pork such as Hachimantai Pork. We also serve Akitakomachi rice, local vegetables, wild mountain plants, and regional delicacies so you can fully enjoy the quality and taste of these ingredients.
