Timeless Japanese beauty, comfortable relaxation at a tranquil hot spring Property.

The main building, Kosekiya, constructed during the Taisho era, is characterized by its dignified wooden structure, the gentle texture of its handrails, and the glossy black stairs, all of which reflect the rich stories and expressions nurtured over time. Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a tranquil stay in a Room enveloped in the serene atmosphere of a quiet Onsen retreat, where time flows gently. Rooms facing the Onsen town overlooking the Ginzan River are modern Japanese-Western style, offering a relaxing ambiance with views of the Onsen town and the murmuring stream below, preserving the charm of 100 years ago. The bath, made with high-quality inkstone, exudes luxury and offers a calm setting with views of the courtyard, allowing you to enjoy the warmth of the Onsen while reflecting on the history that flows through this land. Our all-inclusive Accommodation Fee includes all dining, featuring course meals that blend seasonal ingredients sourced locally in Yamagata with Western-style dishes that pair perfectly with wine.

A journey to encounter the warm comfort nurtured by the passage of time.

Kosekiya Main Property was first built in the Taisho era in Ginzan Onsen. The charm of this Property, aged with time, is not merely in its aesthetic beauty. The dignified presence of the aged wooden surfaces, the gentle texture of the handrails that fit comfortably in your hand, and the glossy black sheen of the stairs. What resides here are the traces and rich expressions of stories nurtured over a long period. Time is not something that flows but something that accumulates. A journey to return to the nostalgic simplicity of Japan, still alive in Ginzan Onsen, may be a serendipitous encounter gifted by this fast-paced era.

Dinner example
Inclusive Onsen town to enjoy without budget concerns.

At the main Property, Kosekiya, we offer an all-inclusive plan where all food and beverages are included in the Accommodation Fee, allowing guests to relax without worrying about their budget. Drinks, including alcoholic beverages, can be enjoyed anytime at the drink bar located in the lobby lounge. For dinner, we provide a course meal at "Nogawatei" in the Onsen town. The "Yukemuri Shokudo Shirogane" is available for your use freely before or after dinner, as well as until noon on the day of your checkout.

Mountain-side Taisho Modern Room
A retro-modern Room harmonizing with the ambiance.

The Rooms, designed with a retro aesthetic while emphasizing comfort, come in two types: a modern Japanese-Western style with twin beds and a traditional Japanese style preserving the craftsmanship and dedication of artisans through the ages.

The "Taisho Bath" reflecting the history of Ginzan Onsen.
Two baths related to history

Within our facility, there are two unique baths themed around the history of our establishment and Ginzan Onsen, though small, they are special. Please note that there are no open-air baths. Guests wishing for open-air baths may use our sister facility, "Ginzan-so."

Kumiko design remaining within the facility
Recreating the appearance from 100 years ago as faithfully as possible.

During the renovation of the main building, Kosekiya, we reused as much old wood as possible and employed the traditional Japanese technique of "kigumi" to recreate its original appearance. Inside, you can admire the beauty of Japanese architectural craftsmanship created by artisans over generations.
