  • It was very good.

    I arrived a little early, and I truly appreciate how kindly all the staff treated me. Every dish was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit the Amakusa area.

  • I really enjoyed my stay.

    This is a historic Onsen Hotel that even Emperor Showa is said to have visited. Its biggest highlight may be the sunset sinking into the sea. We were lucky to have clear weather between the rainy-season showers and enjoyed breathtaking views. We could also feel that everyone in charge of meal service, led by the young proprietress, worked with genuine hospitality. When we checked out and drove away, they waved until we were out of sight. It’s a Hotel I’d like to visit again.

    For guests arriving by car from the Fukuoka area

    Currently, the expressway is accessible up to Matsubashi IC.
    Please note that traffic congestion may occur in the Matsubashi–Uki area due to restoration work.
    To avoid congestion, we recommend using Kita-Kumamoto Smart IC (ETC only) and taking the route via the Kumamoto West Ring Road Bypass (toward Kumamoto Port) before continuing onto National Route 57.
    This route generally allows for a smoother drive to Amakusa and Shimoda Onsen.
    Please travel safely.
