—A privileged location and cuisine crafted with carefully selected ingredients— Experience the four seasons of Rurikei with your eyes, your palate, and your whole body.

A Japanese-style Ryokan nestled in lush nature at an elevation of 500 meters. Set on spacious grounds surrounded by beautiful seasonal scenery. Enjoy hiking nearby with views of a mountain stream. In the evening, we serve Japanese cuisine featuring plenty of fresh local ingredients. Choose from a rich lineup, including sukiyaki made with carefully selected wagyu beef, authentic kaiseki crafted by our head chef, or a highland barbecue. After your meal, unwind in the Onsen to soothe everyday fatigue and refresh both body and mind—an indulgence in hot-spring relaxation. In a calming Japanese setting, fully enjoy the “Four Seasons of Rurikei.”

  • I’ve stayed here several times, but this was my first time at Kobushi.○ There is a gap at the bottom of the Room door, so outside noise carries in easily.○ Because there is no door to the dining area, food smells spread throughout the entire floor. Also, dinner time is set at 90 minutes, and the next dishes come slowly. When dining with a child (one-plate meal), they finished early and it was difficult. These two points were drawbacks.Everything else was perfect. You can enjoy yourself from morning until late afternoon the next day! You can play a lot and relax, and everyone from children to adults will be satisfied. No matter how many times we come, my child says they want to stay again. Regarding meals, I’d appreciate it if the serving pace could be faster for guests with children—once they finish eating, they have nothing to do.

  • We stayed for one night as a three-generation family. We had informed the staff about having an elderly wheelchair user with us, and we were grateful for the kind response, including a phone call in advance to confirm accessibility routes. We look forward to visiting again in a different season.

A Fantastical World Woven by Light and Nature [Synesthesia Hills]

Synesthesia Hills is a fantastical illumination where light and nature come together. With diverse lighting effects in harmony with the natural surroundings, it captivates every visitor. The Welcome Area, also popular as a photo spot, offers a nostalgic, warmly inviting atmosphere. Beyond the entrance gate, each zone features its own unique displays—such as a tunnel of light, shooting lights, and Crystal Lake. A dreamlike tunnel woven from seven colors of light, a luminous forest that feels like stepping into stardust, and one of Japan’s largest aurora displays painted across the night sky—each invites you into an extraordinary world.
