Surrounded by the lush nature of Oku-Yugawara, this long-established Accommodation is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Our pride and joy is the open-air “Senkyo” bath located directly beneath a waterfall, and guests staying in the New Building or Annex can enjoy breakfast and dinner served in their Room. Savor seasonal delicacies carefully selected by our head chef, including fresh local fish. Each Room also features a private indoor hot-spring bath fed directly from the source, and the spacious layout is ideal for families and group trips.
We stayed here for a family trip, and we were extremely satisfied with this Accommodation overall!Best of all, “Ichiban Shibori” was all-you-can-drink from the moment we checked in. While the Room does feel a bit dated, it was thoroughly cleaned and very comfortable. Because the Facility has been expanded multiple times, getting to our Room felt like navigating a maze (in a good way), which made it fun—like an adventure.Dinner offered an excellent selection, including sashimi, braised pork belly, oden, marinated firefly squid (hotaru-ika), and even craft beer. Breakfast items like shirasu and negitoro were also delicious.The baths were wonderful—especially the open-air “Takimi Bath” with a waterfall view! Since there is no washing area at the Takimi Bath, we recommend washing in the main public bath first before heading over.
There are so many places I’d like to visit—Northern Kanto, Hakone, Kamakura, Karuizawa… But I was drawn back by the clean, historic building, the high-quality Onsen waters, the open-air bath, and the carefully prepared Japanese and Western buffet (laughs). This was my third stay at Seiranso since the start of this year!Thanks to the warm hospitality of all the staff, it was a truly relaxing trip for both body and mind!

Open-Air Bath
Nestled into the lush natural landscape of Oku-Yugawara, our Accommodation offers a truly immersive retreat. The signature “Senkyo Open-Air Bath” sits beneath the 38-meter Shiraryu Waterfall. Surrounded by untouched greenery, you can relax in the hot spring while breathing in fresh, waterfall-cooled air—an indulgence unique to Seiranso. Next to it is the rustic “Bamboo Grove Bath.” Both baths are separated by gender, but the “Bamboo Grove Bath” may be reserved for private use depending on conditions and your Reservation. Enjoy an unforgettable moment with someone special.
