[Important] Notice Regarding the Introduction of Nagano Prefecture’s Accommodation Tax
Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Shunsai Tsuki no Shizuka.
With the introduction of the “Accommodation Tax” in Nagano Prefecture starting Monday, June 1, 2026, our Accommodation will also begin collecting the Accommodation Tax separately from the Accommodation Fee for stays from that date onward.
This is a purpose-specific tax that will be used to fund tourism promotion and environmental improvements in Nagano Prefecture. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
[Start Date]
For check-ins on Monday, June 1, 2026 and thereafter.
*Even if you have already made a Reservation on or before May 31, 2026, stays from June 1 onward will be subject to taxation.
[Taxable Stays and Tax Amount]
The following tax rates apply based on the Accommodation Fee per person per night (*No Meals Included rate excluding consumption tax).
- Accommodation Fee of JPY 6,000 or more: JPY 200 per person per night
- Accommodation Fee under JPY 6,000: Not taxed
*From June 1, 2029 (Reiwa 11), the tax amount is scheduled to be revised to JPY 300.
[Payment Method]
The Accommodation Tax must be paid separately from the Accommodation Fee at the front desk upon check-out. Even for prepaid Reservations, additional payment on-site may be required.
