Morning at a Long-Established Café
Breakfast is served at the beloved local long-established café, Morning RANZAN (2-minute walk). Available from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (for group private bookings, it can be available from 8:00 AM). *Guests staying at Mulan receive one free drink refill. Relax before departure with the aroma of freshly baked bread and coffee. *Can be added at check-in: JPY 1,200 per person (tax included) On your day off, enjoy a slightly more luxurious breakfast than usual while taking in the morning sun.
Kyoto Arashiyama Day-Use Onsen “Fufu-no-Yu” We will issue a coupon for ¥200 off per person. (4-minute walk from the Accommodation) Hours: 12:00–22:00 (last admission 21:30) Kyoto Arashiyama Onsen “Fufu-no-Yu” is the first day-use Onsen in Kyoto’s Arashiyama area. With excellent access from the station, it is also popular as a relaxing spot after enjoying sightseeing in Arashiyama. The Onsen, using water from the Arashiyama hot spring source, is mildly alkaline and is said to help leave skin feeling smooth and beautiful. The in-house relaxation area also offers hand massage and foot reflexology. Please enjoy a leisurely time in a traditional Japanese-style setting unique to Kyoto. *Bathing facilities include an open-air bath and indoor baths with a silky bath and main bath, as well as a high-temperature sauna and mist sauna. After walking around the Arashiyama area for a full day of sightseeing, we recommend soaking slowly in the open-air natural hot spring bath for truly soothing relaxation.
Bicycle Rental
Mulan Hostel offers complimentary bicycle rentals for guests using the private rental Plan—perfect for exploring the nature-rich Arashiyama area. We have 4 bicycles available for free rental. *For Plans other than private rental, the fee is JPY 1,000 for 5 hours and JPY 2,000 for 24 hours.* Enjoy the magnificent nature of Arashiyama.
Catering Service
We have partnered with the long-established local restaurant “Cafe Ranzan” to offer a special catering service for guests staying at Mulan. *Available for Private Rental Plus only. Orders must be placed by the day before check-in. Plan A: JPY 7,980 (tax included) / serves approx. 4–6 guests Fried shrimp, fried chicken, sausages, sweet-and-sour meatballs, salad, and 2 side dishes. Plan B: JPY 11,980 (tax included) / serves approx. 5–7 guests Fried shrimp, fried chicken, sausages, sweet-and-sour meatballs, salad, 2 side dishes, nuggets, French fries, edamame, +1 additional side dish, potato chips, and sandwiches. *We will deliver the food to the Facility at your requested time. Entire House Rental Plan for Up to 28 Guests
This private cottage is a 2-minute walk from Hankyu Arashiyama Station. Maximum capacity: 28 guests. Suitable for both small and large groups—ideal for family trips, company retreats, school trips, and other travel events. Arashiyama day-use Onsen is a 4-minute walk away. We offer Japanese-style rooms, twin rooms, and dormitory rooms. The entire property is non-smoking and provides free Wi-Fi. Enjoy a traditional Japanese garden; the first floor features the living and dining areas. For long-stay guests, we have a laundry room, manga comics, and a Nintendo Famicom—please enjoy your holiday in Arashiyama.
