Ogoto Onsen Yuno Yado Komorebi
Shiga Prefecture/ŌtsuA Ryokan by Lake Biwa, boasting 1200 years of history and serving as a base for Kyoto sightseeing.
Located by Lake Biwa, "Komorebi" is a relaxing onsen ryokan. Enjoy the historic "Ogoto Onsen," with over 1200 years of history, at an affordable price. The adjacent sister property, "Yumotokan," features an open-air bath, spa, shop, and other facilities. Guests staying at Komorebi can freely use Yumotokan's facilities for an additional 700 yen (tax included). It's about a 20-minute train ride from Kyoto Station, and a shuttle service is available from Ogoto Onsen Station to the property, making it a convenient base for exploring Kyoto.
This Accommodation offered excellent value for money. The paid open-air baths at the neighboring Yumotokan were wonderful—especially the one farthest from this Accommodation. You get a panoramic view of Lake Biwa.I recommend enjoying it both while it’s still light out and again for the night view.It was fun visiting different baths around the property.I had seen a Review saying there was no elevator, so choosing the second floor was the right call.I couldn’t help eating the ice cream in the lobby. The meals were delicious as well.I didn’t have time to use the recreation room, but it had manga, massage chairs, a table tennis table, and more—it looked like a lot of fun. When I first entered the Room, there was a slightly unusual smell, but once I turned on the Plasmacluster air purifier I stopped noticing it. The Room was clean, so maybe it was related to the plumbing? The staff were pleasant, it’s great value for money, and I highly recommend it.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 7/20/2026We added the shabu-shabu option, and every dish at both breakfast and dinner was truly delicious. The all-you-can-eat ice pops were also a nice touch. For the Onsen, we paid 700 yen and went to Yumotokan; we could enjoy views of both the mountains and Lake Biwa, and it was a very beautiful bath. The only minor drawback was that we were on the third floor, which was a bit tiring, but overall we were very satisfied with this Accommodation for the price—great food, Room, and Onsen. Thank you very much.

Introduction of the Accommodation

【Highlight 1】Affordable property stays!
Onsen Ryokan with two meals included at this price! It often surprises our guests. To meet the needs of customers who want to enjoy an Onsen Ryokan at an affordable price, we provide straightforward services and rational cost reductions to return value. This is the main reason why Yuno no Ki Morebi is chosen.

【Attraction 2】Delicious cuisine that is not bound by form
Komorebi's meals do not adhere strictly to traditional forms. For the summer Plan, we served sashimi with a refreshing twist—enjoyed with a squeeze of lemon and sesame salt instead of soy sauce. In the autumn limited Plan, we introduced a curry hot pot, with the finishing touch being, of course, curry risotto. For the winter Plan, we even tried a Plan featuring spare ribs. These may not align with the typical image of meals at an Onsen Ryokan. But unfortunately... they are all delicious! No, rather than the refined expression of "delicious," the word "umai!" fits better. Komorebi aims to create this kind of "umai" cuisine.

The large communal bath "Komorebi" features one indoor bath each for men and women, filled with the renowned hot spring water of Ogoto Onsen, a famous onsen of the Lake Country. Though compact, it is a sufficient space to leisurely enjoy the soothing waters. However, it is true that many guests feel that a visit to an onsen is incomplete without experiencing an open-air bath. To meet this desire, we have established a connecting passageway to our sister property, Yumotokan. For an additional Accommodation Fee of 700 yen (tax included) per person, you can enjoy Yumotokan's large communal bath, panoramic open-air bath, and private open-air baths.

Table tennis, billiards, massage chairs, and vibration machines are all free, and the karaoke room is available for a low price of 1,100 yen per hour (tax included) regardless of the number of people.
