The beds are twin or double, and up to three futon sets can be laid out in the tatami area—sleeping side by side with grandparents sounds wonderful. The tatami flooring is also great for crawling babies (certified as a “Welcome Baby Inn” room by Miki House Childcare Research Institute). The vanity and bathroom are separate for added convenience. Relax and enjoy your stay in this calm, comfortable space. From the deck, you can view Karuizawa’s lush garden—perfect for cooling off in the evening after a bath. The birdsong is soothing as well.

Two types of baths: Whitewood and Red Pine. Both use plenty of natural wood, and the moment you open the bathhouse door, you’ll be greeted by refreshing woody aromas along with the rising steam. The open-air bath, filled with dappled sunlight, is also perfect for a morning soak. Surrounded by Karuizawa’s rich nature, you can relax both body and mind. The water is “Togor-yu,” a semi-natural Onsen (artificial hot spring) known for boosting metabolism and warming you from the core. [Kids’ Play Area] A Happy Spot for Children

There is a kids’ area in one corner of the lobby, stocked with toys and plush animals for energetic children, as well as picture books for younger kids and books for elementary schoolers. Located just steps from the restaurant, it’s perfect for a quick change of pace! Next to the kids’ area is a coffee corner where adults can relax and enjoy Mikado Coffee while keeping an eye on the children. In addition to the kids’ area, there is also complimentary ice cream available on the 1st floor that both adults and children are free to enjoy.
