Tokura Kamiyamada Onsen Club Wyndham Chikuma-kan Nagano (formerly Tokura Kamiyamada Onsen Yuko Chikuma-kan)
Nagano Prefecture/Togura Kamiyamada OnsenIn the heart of the Onsen town, featuring six baths fed by two natural hot spring sources, with special rooms available.
A traditional Japanese Ryokan located in the heart of a hot spring town, where you can enjoy the renowned hot springs of Shinshu, known as "The Bath to Conclude Your Zenkoji Pilgrimage." The area features two types of Onsen: the milky white "Kamiyamada Source" and the clear emerald green "Chikuma Source." Both are gentle, simple sulfur springs that flow directly from the source, and you can experience them in six different bathhouses. Enjoy a variety of baths as you explore the Onsen within the Ryokan. For dinner, we offer a kaiseki meal that highlights the seasonal flavors and colors of Shinshu. Relax as you gaze at the garden pond filled with Onsen water, listen to the soothing sound of the waterfall, and let yourself unwind, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of daily life. Indulge in a luxurious experience for the soul at our Ryokan. Take your time and enjoy the finest moments of relaxation.
The Room was spacious and comfortable, with two Japanese-style rooms. I was able to stretch out and sleep comfortably on a king-size bed by myself. Since it was a Japanese-style Room, it was also nice not having to keep taking my shoes on and off. The washroom had a tasteful ceramic basin as well. Given the reasonable price, I wasn’t expecting much from the meals, but they were more than satisfying. The baths were great, with an open-air bath in the large public bath area, and I was also glad I could use the Roman bath during its designated free hours. It was disappointing that the Shuttle Service bus only runs one round trip per day, so I couldn’t use it because the timing didn’t work for me. Overall, I think this is a very good Accommodation.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 7/24/2026We stayed in a Japanese-Western style twin room. The room was clean, the meals were delicious and plentiful, and the Onsen was wonderful—overall we were very satisfied. We liked it so much that we’d love to come again! The front desk staff and the parking attendant were both very kind.It was also nice to be able to go outside in a yukata. The value for money was unbelievably good!

Introduction of the Accommodation

By the picturesque banks of the Chikuma River, lies the historic and beloved Onsen town of Togura Kamiyamada Onsen in Shinshu, cherished by people since the Manyo era. At its heart stands the traditional Japanese-style Ryokan, Yuko Chikuma-kan. Our pride and joy is, without a doubt, our baths. Our Ryokan draws from two distinct sources: the "Kamiyamada Gensen" and the "Chikuma Gensen." The milky-white Kamiyamada Gensen and the crystal-clear emerald green Chikuma Gensen. Both are gentle, simple sulfur springs known for their skin-beautifying properties, and their ever-changing hues make them a magical experience. At our Ryokan, you can enjoy these two types of Gensen in six unique bathing facilities.

As you step inside, a faint aroma of sulfur greets you. Enjoy the natural Onsen with free-flowing spring water to your heart's content.
