A nature-rich Onsen area, 60 minutes by Kyoto bus.

An extraordinary experience immersed in the traditional Japanese landscape. Welcome to a warm and inviting Property surrounded by the nature of Kyo-oku and Jakko-in Temple. Meals and bedding are self-service, and the bath and restroom are shared, allowing you to enjoy the unique comfort of self-service. For meals, savor Ohara-grown Koshihikari rice, carefully cultivated by the owner of Ohara Sanso. In summer, enjoy hamo shabu, and in autumn, indulge in the limited-time matsutake mushroom and local chicken sukiyaki, along with a variety of local delicacies. Experience the joy of painting on pottery with the rakuyaki workshop or relax at the footbath café open on weekends. Take a heartwarming holiday to experience the charm of old Japan.

  • I knew from the Reviews that this was a wonderful Ryokan, but it exceeded my expectations. The Onsen was charming both indoors and outdoors, and even the changing area was stylish. The meals were delicious—I ate too much. The Room had high ceilings and was spacious and spotless, with an amazing view from the window.Everywhere I looked—the Room, the Onsen, and throughout the Facility—everything was impeccably clean, and I felt it offered outstanding value for money.Thank you for taking care of us for two days. I will make another Reservation.

  • As we stayed on a weekday, there were few other guests and we were able to relax and take our time. The service was courteous, and I was impressed by how smoothly they accommodated international guests. Both the Room and the bath facilities were new, and although it is a guesthouse-style Accommodation, it was just right for us as a couple. The bath is located a short walk uphill, but the hot spring water quality was excellent and it felt like all our fatigue melted away at once. This is an Accommodation we would like to stay at again.
