Shizuoka Prefecture/Shimo-gamo OnsenFirst in Izu, introduction of Onsen cooling equipment! 100% natural spring flow! Enjoy seafood such as simmered Kinmedai and Ise lobster.
This Property boasts a large public bath and open-air bath that use abundant natural hot spring water sourced directly from the premises. With the introduction of "Yuutake," we ensure a 100% natural Onsen experience with no chlorine, no added water, and no heating! We offer two types of baths: the open-air bath "Uji," made with Izu stone and featuring 100% natural Onsen water, and the spacious public bath "Kamo." Enjoy a luxurious holiday in a guest room with a private open-air bath, while taking in the magnificent nature and beautiful scenery of South Izu. The Onsen of Shimogamo is so renowned that it is often said to make walking sticks and doctors unnecessary! We invite you to experience the natural hot spring of Shimogamo for yourself. Our cuisine is crafted with a focus on delivering the freshest ingredients from the Izu sea at their most delicious moment. Additionally, there are numerous sightseeing spots in Izu, such as the secluded "Hirizo Beach," accessible only by boat. During the summer season, we also offer a free Shuttle Service to Yumigahama Beach. Surrounded by the great outdoors, indulge in a blissful time that will satisfy both your body and soul.
Although the open-air bath was soaked by rain due to the typhoon, it was a great Onsen. The meals were also delicious, with no corners cut in the cooking.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 6/29/2026The best time to unwind while listening to the sound of rain on the bamboo outside the window. I think this is the most affordable Room, but when you turn on the tap in the semi-unit bath, piping-hot natural hot spring water comes out. I filled it up and by the next morning it was just the right temperature. The large public bath felt a little lukewarm for me (though that also means you can soak longer). The rich, soothing water helps release tension in my body. I slept extremely well. I also appreciate that they don’t put away the futon. The Room has a Showa-era feel, but it’s calm and not bad at all. Only the toilet and sink area are modern Reiwa-style (indirect lighting, automatic lid), clean and nice. However, the hair dryer is an old wall-mounted SANYO model—I would have brought my own if I’d known. One more thing: there were no hot-spring tabi socks; I would have brought some as well. Other amenities are minimal, but that’s enough for me since I usually don’t use them anyway. The meals were delicious and just the right amount—maybe even a little less would be fine; next time I’d like to try their special hot pot course. The rice was glossy and very tasty. The service was calm and experienced, and personally I like that they give you plenty of space without hovering. There may be more insects in summer. This time I encountered a big spider in my Room—maybe it was a guardian spirit.Next time will be perfect if I bring my own hair dryer and tabi socks. I’ll be back again.

Introduction of the Accommodation

There are no conveniences in Minami-Izu, but you can fully enjoy the magnificent nature and beautiful scenery. We introduce unique sightseeing spots in Minami-Izu. ■ Ryugu Sea Cave The skylight of Ryugu Sea Cave is one of the largest among those found throughout Izu. You can stand under the skylight by passing through the cave from the entrance along the road. The cave walls, formed by yellowish-brown volcanic debris erupted from an undersea volcano, create a beautiful layered pattern, and the contrast with the blue seawater filling the bottom of the skylight makes it a mystical place. ■ Irozaki "Ocean Park" Enjoy the vast ocean view at the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula all to yourself. Learn about the grand natural formations, or "geo," and rediscover the charm of Minami-Izu. ■ Iruma "Senjojiki" A 40-minute walk from Iruma Port takes you to Senjojiki, a hidden gem of Izu. Here, you can see beautiful strata made of volcanic ash and pumice that settled on the seabed.

This is a lobby floor available for meetings, gatherings, and second parties.

We offer a wide selection of famous products from Izu.

A grand banquet hall suitable for various purposes such as meetings, seminars, year-end and New Year parties, and memorial services.

A serene Japanese-style private dining room. Enjoy your meal at your own pace without worrying about others. Capacity: 2 to 4 guests.
