Approximately a 15-minute walk from Tsukuba Station (A5 Exit) on the Tsukuba Express line, or a 5-minute taxi ride.
The building is old and has a retro Showa-era feel, but it was very clean. There were many services, such as welcome water, an ice exchange voucher, canned tea, canned coffee, nighttime service beer and a late-night snack, and a free breakfast. The disappointing point was the air conditioner.Although the Room had been renovated, the air conditioner was old and did not allow fine airflow adjustment. Even after turning it off, there was mechanical noise for a while, and occasionally water dripped from it.Since it was directly above the pillow, it startled me.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 7/4/2026This was my first stay here. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary old Hotel, but I was surprised when I entered the Room!It has been renovated and is clean. The bathroom has only a shower and no bathtub, but since I only use the shower, it’s spacious and great. Having the bathroom and toilet separate is also really nice—you don’t need to bother with a curtain. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, there is a free beer drink bar, which was fantastic because I could work on my PC while having a beer. And from 8:00 PM, they also offer free hot dogs (first come, first served), which was another great perk!Breakfast doesn’t have many items, but if you think of it as similar to what you’d normally eat at home, it’s not a problem at all. It’s also nice that they provide canned coffee, tea, and plum juice as an in-house service.By the way, there are no cups in the Room, so you need to take paper cups from near the elevator.Overall conclusion: it was a very good Hotel.I’d like to stay here again when I’m on business in Ibaraki.
