This stay was to fulfill my wife’s wish to ride the trolley train at least once. It was very convenient, as we could see Saga-Arashiyama, the first station of the trolley train, from the Hotel. We were blessed with great weather and scenery, and enjoyed about 25 minutes to Kameoka while looking down at boats enjoying the thrilling Hozugawa River cruise. I have stayed at this Hotel several times, and I was very satisfied with both the bath and dinner/breakfast. The Hotel staff were also very kind. This time, I bought protective charms at nearby Nonomiya Shrine, famous from The Tale of Genji, for my two daughters who live in Tokyo and sent them to them. This is a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 6/6/2026It was very convenient because it’s so close to the station, so we didn’t have to carry our luggage far. The meals were delicious, and there was more than enough food—we were very satisfied.

【Local Production and Consumption】Breakfast to Savor Kyoto
We offer a menu centered around traditional Japanese set meals, featuring specialties unique to Kyoto and Arashiyama. The "Handmade Tofu," prepared by warming soy milk and finishing it yourself, delivers the fresh taste of just-made tofu! Characterized by its rich flavor of soybeans, it can be enjoyed with yuzu salt, olive oil, and Tosa soy sauce to enhance the natural taste of the ingredients. Fresh folate-rich eggs from Kyoto Tanba are recommended to be enjoyed with soy sauce specially made for egg rice.

Enjoy a Kyoto-style creative Kaiseki meal, blending Japanese and Western cuisines, featuring seasonal ingredients and specialties unique to Kyoto.

An ideal location in front of JR Saga-Arashiyama Station, just a 1-minute walk! Within walking distance to tourist attractions.
1 minute walk from the Hotel: "Sagano Romantic Train" The Sagano Romantic Train is a sightseeing railway that allows you to enjoy the scenic, nature-rich landscapes of Sagano from its windows. It runs approximately 7.3 km in about 25 minutes, offering a leisurely view of the stunning gorge. Along the route, you'll find famous spots like the "Bamboo Grove Path" and "Hozugawa River Boat Ride." You can also enjoy hiking if you get off at the unmanned "Torokko Hozukyo Station" along the way. About a 10-minute walk from the Hotel: "Bamboo Grove Path" connecting Nonomiya Shrine to Okochi Sanso Villa The sight of towering bamboo lining both sides of the path feels like stepping into a fairy tale. Even in summer, the area remains cool, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing stroll or take memorable photos while basking in the dappled sunlight, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
