The Kyoto City Accommodation Tax rates will be revised starting Sunday, March 1, 2026.
The revised tax rates will apply to accommodations from Sunday, March 1, 2026, regardless of the reservation date. We kindly ask for your understanding.
**Before Revision [Until Saturday, February 28, 2026]**
Accommodation Fee under ¥20,000: Tax Amount ¥200
Accommodation Fee between ¥20,000 and under ¥50,000: Tax Amount ¥500
Accommodation Fee over ¥50,000: Tax Amount ¥1,000
**After Revision [From Sunday, March 1, 2026]**
Accommodation Fee under ¥6,000: Tax Amount ¥200
Accommodation Fee between ¥6,000 and under ¥20,000: Tax Amount ¥400
Accommodation Fee between ¥20,000 and under ¥50,000: Tax Amount ¥1,000
Accommodation Fee between ¥50,000 and under ¥100,000: Tax Amount ¥4,000

* The Accommodation Tax is charged per person per night.
* The Accommodation Tax is not included in the Accommodation Fees and must be paid at the Hotel.
