Ideally located between Kumamoto Castle—one of Japan’s three most famous castles—and the Japanese garden Suizenji Jojuen, the hotel offers easy access to historical and cultural attractions via the city tram running east–west through Kumamoto City. Your journey around town ends at our station-inspired front desk and lobby. Beyond that, the interior is designed around themes symbolizing nature—earth, forest, and water—and on the top floor you’ll find a large public bath and sauna with views of Kumamoto Castle. Situated at the eastern edge of an area filled with shops and restaurants, we are within walking distance of downtown yet offer a quiet retreat away from the bustle.

    Conveniently located near the Kamitori Shopping Arcade and the tram stop, with great value for money. The sauna and large public bath are also very comfortable. Compared to the Sakuramachi area it’s a bit quieter, but around Kamitori there are vintage clothing shops and stylish stores tucked away in small side streets, giving it a Shimokitazawa-like vibe that’s fun to explore. Parking isn’t an issue either, as there’s a nearby affiliated large multi-story parking garage. However, if you take your car in and out, you can no longer use the parking validation ticket.

  • It was very good.

    We stayed as a family of three. We had connecting Rooms: a twin Room and a double Room connected by opening the double doors between them. Both twin beds were double-sized, so we had plenty of space and it was very comfortable. The large public bath was available all night. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with many Kumamoto specialties such as Taipien, Ikinari Dango, and Dago-jiru—on par with some high-end business Hotels. It was a very satisfying Hotel stay.

    We extend our heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by the earthquake that occurred in Kumamoto on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
    Our group operates Hotels in Kumamoto Prefecture, and since immediately after the earthquake, we have been prioritizing the safety of our guests currently staying with us and our employees. At this time, no injuries to guests or employees have been confirmed.
