    Kumamoto City has decided to introduce an Accommodation Tax, which is mandatory. Please note that the Accommodation Tax will apply to stays from July 1, 2026 onward, regardless of the date the accommodation contract was made or when the Accommodation Fee was paid.
    The Accommodation Tax is separate from the Accommodation Fee and must be paid on-site. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Accommodation Tax: JPY 200 per person per night
