[For Guests Making a Reservation On or After November 10, 2025] Notice of Changes to Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Collection Method
We will be changing the collection method for the Kyoto City Accommodation Tax as follows.
Effective date: For Reservations made on or after 00:00 on November 10, 2025
Change: The Accommodation Tax will no longer be included in the Accommodation Fee (tax included) and will instead be paid separately (tax excluded).
Accordingly, even if you have already paid the Accommodation Fee in full, guests who make a Reservation on or after November 10, 2025 will be required to pay only the Accommodation Tax at the front desk at check-in.

●Accommodation Tax
Per guest per night, according to the following categories:
If the Accommodation Fee is less than JPY 20,000 JPY 200
If the Accommodation Fee is JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000 JPY 500
If the Accommodation Fee is JPY 50,000 or more JPY 1,000
*The “Accommodation Fee” refers to the No Meals Included rate (room charge and Service Fee) and does not include meal charges or consumption tax.
●From March 1, Reiwa 8 (2026)
Per guest per night, according to the following categories:
If the Accommodation Fee is less than JPY 6,000 JPY 200
If the Accommodation Fee is JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000 JPY 400
If the Accommodation Fee is JPY 20,000 to less than JPY50 ,0 JPY1000
