[For Guests Making a Reservation on or After November 10, 2025] Notice of Changes to Kyoto City Accommodation Tax Collection Method
We would like to inform you that we will change the collection method for the Accommodation Tax set by Kyoto City as follows.
Effective date: For Reservations made on or after 00:00 on November 10, 2025
Details of change: The Accommodation Tax will no longer be included in the Accommodation Fee (tax included) and will instead be paid separately (tax excluded).
Accordingly, even if you have already paid the Accommodation Fee in advance, if your Reservation was made on or after November 10, 2025, you will be required to pay only the Accommodation Tax at the front desk upon check-in.

●Accommodation Tax
Per guest per night, according to the following categories:
If the Accommodation Fee is less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200
If the Accommodation Fee is JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500
If the Accommodation Fee is JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000
*The “Accommodation Fee” refers to the No Meals Included rate (room charge and Service Fee) and does not include meal charges or consumption tax.*
●From March 1, Reiwa 8 (2026) onward
Per guest per night, according to the following categories:
If the Accommodation Fee is less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200
If the Accommodation Fee is JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400
If the Accommodation Fee is JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY1 ,0.00
