[Notice of the Introduction of the Nagano Prefecture Accommodation Tax]

Thank you for your continued patronage of Ueda Tokyu REI Hotel.
Nagano Prefecture will introduce an Accommodation Tax effective Monday, June 1, 2026, to fund initiatives such as enhancing tourism resources and improving the visitor reception environment. Accordingly, our Hotel will collect the Accommodation Tax for stays from that date onward.
■ Start Date
Applicable to stays from Monday, June 1, 2026
*Even if you have already made a Reservation and completed advance payment before this date, the tax will apply if your stay is on or after June 1.
■ Tax Amount
- JPY 300 per person per night
- For the first three years of the program (June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2029): JPY 200 per person per night
■ Tax Exemption Threshold
No tax will be charged if the Accommodation Fee (No Meals Included / excluding tax) is less than JPY 6,000 per person per night.
■ Tax Exemptions (with required documentation)
Tax may be waived upon submission of a certificate issued by a school principal or Facility director in the following cases:
- Stays for educational or research activities conducted by kindergartens and schools from elementary through university level
- Stays as part of events organized by childcare facilities or similar institutions
- Stays as part of events organized by free schools certified by heads of local governments or boards of education
■ Payment of the Accommodation Tax
In principle, it will be collected at check-in.
However, procedures may vary depending on how your Reservation was made. Please contact your travel agency or Reservation site for details.
