Direct train access to Kyoto’s Arashiyama, and within walking distance of Mibu-dera Temple, associated with the Shinsengumi.
Just a short walk from Shijo-Omiya Station on the Randen streetcar line connecting scenic Arashiyama and central Kyoto, “Kotohi” is a private, whole-house rental Accommodation limited to one group per day, quietly located near Mibu-dera Temple, closely associated with the Shinsengumi. Renovated into a fully private machiya townhouse wrapped in the gentle “melody” of pine needles—like the sound of a koto—this space features koto-inspired motifs throughout. On the first floor, you’ll find a living room equipped with a projector for powerful visuals and sound, and a dining area that opens into an airy double-height atrium. From the tatami room at the back, you can enjoy views of a small courtyard garden with pine trees like a framed landscape. Upstairs are two bedrooms (one Western-style and one Japanese-style), plus a study facing the atrium. Enjoy an elevated stay at “Kotohi,” where refreshing calm meets the beauty of nature’s changing seasons.
