From December to March, roads in town may be icy and snowy.
While this is not a heavy-snow area, roads can freeze easily during this period, so please refrain from driving with summer (non-winter) tires.
Please consider using studless (winter) tires, carrying tire chains, or taking a taxi.

In Karuizawa, outdoor activities are restricted after 9:00 PM under local regulations, so please refrain from BBQs, campfires, and similar activities after 9:00 PM.
Please remember that you are staying in a quiet villa neighborhood, and keep noise to a minimum at night so everyone can relax peacefully.
