| About Hygiene Measures | HOTEL MUSO's Measures for Infection Prevention
To prioritize the health and safety of all our guests and ensure a worry-free stay, we have implemented the following measures under the policy of "taking all possible preventive actions."
We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in certain areas.
Facility
1. A non-contact thermometer (thermography) is installed at the front desk, and we request your cooperation in measuring your body temperature.
2. Guests are asked to fill out a health check sheet.
While we do not deny entry to guests who are feeling unwell, we do not take measures that would leave such guests without a place to stay. However, by understanding your condition in advance, we can assist in managing your health during your stay, adjust staff equipment during room cleaning, or change guest rooms after check-out. These guidelines are in accordance with the guidelines of the Japan Tourism Agency, The whole country Ryokan Hotel Life Sanitation Association, and the Japan Hotel Association.
3. Non-contact alcohol sanitizers are installed at the front desk, allowing guests to sanitize without touching the pump.
4. During payment, we use a cash tray instead of direct hand-to-hand exchange.
5. High-touch areas such as entrance doors, elevator interiors, room doorknobs, chairs, handles, and remote controls are regularly disinfected with alcohol.
6. Alcohol sanitizers are provided in all guest rooms, and masks are available upon request.
7. Ozone generators, usually used for deodorizing guest rooms, are utilized for space disinfection after check-out. Ozone has been proven effective against seasonal influenza, norovirus, E. coli, and, as of May 14, 2020, research by Nara Medical University confirmed its effectiveness in inactivating the novel coronavirus. While this space disinfection cannot guarantee 100% elimination of infection threats (as aerosol presence is considered extremely rare), it is part of our commitment to doing everything possible for the safety and security of our guests.
■ Staff Initiatives
- All staff undergo temperature checks and health screenings upon reporting to work. Staff with a temperature of 37.5°C or higher or cold symptoms are required to take leave and stay at home for a designated period.
- Alcohol sanitizers are placed in staff areas, and disinfection is mandatory after going outside, before and after cleaning, and after using restrooms.
- Staff are prohibited from traveling to other prefectures or overseas and are advised to refrain from attending events or dining out.
- Staggered work hours are implemented to avoid commuting during peak public transportation times.
- Staff are required to wear masks during work hours and, in some cleaning tasks, wear face shields to prevent infection.
- On July 10, 2020, all staff underwent antibody testing for the novel coronavirus conducted by a nurse, and all tested negative. We will continue to enforce thorough infection prevention measures. |
