This is to help reduce infection risks during travel and ensure a safe trip for you. 【Check-in and Check-out】 Typically, check-in at karigane is conducted face-to-face by us, the hosts, welcoming you with matcha tea and traditional Japanese sweets. However, upon prior request, a key handover-only check-in is also available. 【Disinfection】 Alcohol spray is provided at the entrance for your use. We disinfect keys, door and drawer handles, water facilities, toilets, baths, switches, remote controls, touch panels, slippers, writing utensils, and more with alcohol. Used dishes and utensils will be washed and sterilized by us, so please leave them in the sink instead of returning them to the cabinet. Used towels and yukata are washed and dried at high temperatures, and linens are ironed after washing. 【Ventilation】 Every Room in karigane has windows. During your stay, opening windows or using air purifiers can further reduce infection risks. 【Cleaning and Staff Infection Prevention】 Our staff practices regular handwashing, gargling, mask-wearing, and temperature checks. During cleaning, staff wear masks, and towels and linens are washed immediately after collection. Trash is sealed in plastic bags for disposal. For dishwashing and cleaning water facilities, we use detergents containing surfactants. 【Emergency Response】 An emergency kit and thermometer are always available on the Property. If you feel unwell, please use them. In case of symptoms such as high fever, difficulty breathing, fatigue, or loss of taste, which may indicate infection, we will contact the Kyoto City Public Health Bureau's dedicated consultation hotline (075-222-3421) upon your request.
