Introduction of the Accommodation

Handcrafted Kyoto cushions.
The Kyoto zabuton, handcrafted by skilled artisans, features three distinct characteristics: "Sanpo Toji" (three-sided stitching), "Kado Fusa" (corner tassels), and a "Kamaboko shape" (arched surface). To prevent the cotton from shifting, the zabuton is stitched in the center. While most zabutons use cross-stitching, Kyoto zabutons employ "Sanpo Toji" stitching, which also indicates the front direction. The corner tassels, or "Kado Fusa," are not merely decorative but are designed to hold the cotton in place at the corners, preventing it from slipping out—a traditional technique unique to Kyoto zabutons. Additionally, Kyoto zabutons are crafted with extra cotton in the center, where the most weight is applied, making them more durable. The back is flat, while the front is arched like a "Kamaboko" (fish cake), ensuring comfort and longevity. Relax and enjoy your time with this zabuton, imbued with Kyoto's traditional craftsmanship and spirit of hospitality.

Room
The antique fittings from the time of Kyomachiya's construction and the Meiji and Taisho eras create a nostalgic and calming interior, offering a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Gaze upon the courtyard garden adorned with seasonal flowers, and open the window to experience the feeling of an open-air bath. Relax in the aroma of four selectable bath salts.

You will enjoy breakfast at 'Izumi-sen', renowned for its Shojin cuisine, tea kaiseki, and Japanese culinary arts. Breakfast offers two options: 'Japanese Breakfast' or 'Shojin Cuisine'.
