A private Accommodation of four detached villas nestled by Kyoto Prefecture’s largest lake, Riko. Each room features a scenic-view bath filled with natural Onsen water; the lakeside villas overlook Riko, while the special suites offer views of a Japanese garden. Operated directly by a seafood wholesaler, we serve generous dishes featuring fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan in spring, summer, and autumn, and in winter you can savor live crab carefully selected by experts. We also aim to promote a new form of universal tourism through collaboration with local healthcare providers and on-site staff who have completed advanced lifesaving training.
It was the height of summer, but we were able to relax and enjoy a hygge stay. The in-room Onsen allowed us to bathe without any worries, and it was wonderful to unwind on the wooden deck early in the morning. The meal was delicious—not only the kaiseki course, but also the sea bream rice. Check-out at the entrance was a first for us, and we really appreciated it. We’d love to visit again during crab season.
ストーンくん 7/22/2026We enjoyed a comfortable stay in a very beautiful and spacious room overlooking the quiet lakeside. The private bath in the room, which could be used at any time, was slightly deeper than expected but still very relaxing. The meals were delicious and plentiful, and we were able to take home the leftover crab, which we appreciated after returning home. Thank you to the staff for their attentive service. This accommodation made us want to visit again during another season, not just during crab season.

Surrounded by breathtaking nature, enjoy a peaceful stay at “Mizu-Yashiki,” where you will be healed and fulfilled from deep within.
Building 1: Kagome
Four standalone buildings: three private Rooms overlooking Kyoto Prefecture’s largest lake, Lake Hanareko, and one special suite with a more spacious, luxurious design including an inner courtyard. All buildings feature a scenic-view bath and a wood deck. Meals are served in a dedicated separate dining building.
The scenic-view bath filled with natural Onsen water is available 24 hours a day. Relax and unwind with as much Onsen bathing as you like.
A dedicated dining area for guests is available in a separate building. Please relax and enjoy both dinner and breakfast in a private, partitioned space.
Tango Creative Kaiseki Cuisine
Our signature creative kaiseki is a lavishly crafted feast featuring carefully selected San’in ingredients—fresh local seafood from nearby waters, regional vegetables, rice, and fruit, as well as Tajima beef and Tajima duck. Our head chef personally selects the finest seasonal produce to bring out the pure, natural flavors in every dish… In winter, enjoy our “Gokusen Matsuba Course,” featuring top-quality San’in Matsuba snow crab handpicked by our sister fish shop, “Tango Himono-ya,” which handles over 10,000 Matsuba crabs each year.
