Savor Umegashima Onsen—one of Takeda Shingen’s hidden hot springs—along with Shizuoka’s finest mountain and sea delicacies to your heart’s content.
A Property where you can enjoy the natural hot spring water from the source of Umegashima Onsen, which boasts a history of over 1,700 years, with a pH of 9.6, flowing directly without any recycling. Umegashima Onsen, known as one of the secret Onsens favored by the famous Takeda Shingen, offers its pure source water without any heating for your ultimate relaxation. Our specialty, the Umegashima-bred Suruga game fowl hot pot, is made with a broth simmered for about half a day using chicken bones, creating an exquisite flavor. Additionally, indulge in unique dishes that combine the mountain delicacies of Umegashima, surrounded by nature, with fresh seafood from Shizuoka.
The Onsen was simply wonderful.I was soothed by the luxurious free-flowing natural hot spring water of exceptional quality. The meals were delicious, and the hostess’s cheerful greetings lifted my spirits. It was very quiet—perfect for a relaxing stay.
kei1500 7/18/2026The hostess's unpretentious hospitality was warm and welcoming. Every meal was delicious, and I especially loved the salt-grilled Amago fish and the homemade ice cream for dessert. Although there is no open-air bath or sauna, the indoor baths offer both lukewarm natural Onsen water and heated hot water, allowing you to alternate between them for a very relaxing experience. The slightly silky texture of the Onsen water felt truly wonderful. The room was clean, surprisingly spacious, and exceeded my expectations. Hearing the sound of the river added to its charm. While some parts of the facility are older, the room itself was very clean and did not feel uncomfortable at all.

Introduction of the Accommodation

This Onsen Ryokan is renowned for its unique, smooth, and silky hot springs, cherished by many as a medicinal bath where flowers bloom in the water. Although it is a rustic Onsen Ryokan nestled in the mountains, we believe you will fully enjoy the untouched nature of Umegashima and the hot springs. We look forward to welcoming you with heartfelt hospitality.

Meal
We offer seasonal dishes featuring ingredients primarily from Shizuoka and Umegashima. While Umegashima is surrounded by mountains, Shizuoka is also renowned for its fresh seafood. At our inn, you can enjoy a unique menu that combines the best of both mountain and sea, showcasing the flavors of Shizuoka.

Our facility does not have open-air baths or private baths, but you can enjoy two bathtubs: one with lukewarm water directly from the Onsen source without heating and another at an appropriate temperature.
