[Chichibu Pilgrimage “Uma Year” Grand Opening of Sacred Sites: 2026/3/18–11/30] 10 minutes by car to No. 32 Hosenji Temple; the third-closest Accommodation to Mitsumine Shrine. Founded in the late Edo period, Yanagiya is an Accommodation nestled in the mountains of Oku-Chichibu, proud of its creative cuisine made with gifts from the mountains and its handmade soba noodles. The owner carefully hand-makes these wonderfully fragrant soba noodles—truly exceptional. With 400 years of history, Shibahara Onsen is one of the seven famous hot springs of Chichibu and has been used for therapeutic bathing since the early Edo period. Relax and soothe your body in our natural spring water, “Shiramimin no Yu,” drawn up from a well on the Ryokan grounds.
Thanks to the Accommodation’s consideration, we were upgraded to a larger Room. The meals were delicious and we were very satisfied.
ひーぼ。 7/19/2026Tucked away in a secluded area, we were picked up from the station with the Shuttle Service.When we entered the Room, the sound of birds was soothing.The Onsen was available 24 hours a day, so we enjoyed it many times in the morning and evening.Dinner included soba noodles, river fish, fresh udo shoots, and a hot pot with wild boar—everything was new to us. It was all very delicious.In the morning, the rice was excellent, and there were wonderful ingredients such as handmade tofu, homemade pickled plums, and Japanese yam.They also had homemade fruit liqueurs; I tried fig liqueur for the first time and it was very tasty.I would love to visit again.Even though we made a same-day Reservation, they kindly accepted it.Thank you very much.
