HOSHINOYA Taketomi Island weaves the island's traditions, culture, and natural environment into the modern era in collaboration with local residents. Spanning approximately 20,000 tsubo (66,000 square meters), it features a small village designed in accordance with the island's "Landscape Formation Manual."

Rooms embracing tradition with a gentle southern breeze

The rooms feature traditional elements such as roofs with Ryukyu red tiles, stone walls made of Ryukyu limestone, and gardens covered with white coral sand. To welcome the auspicious southern breeze, all rooms have glass doors covering an entire wall on the south side.

Stunning Views of the Dark Sky Reserve

The starry sky of the Yaeyama Islands, including Taketomi Island, has been designated as Japan's first Dark Sky Reserve. It features lighting designed in harmony with nature to enhance the beauty of the night sky. You can enjoy countless stars, shooting stars, and even the Southern Cross spreading across the vast horizon.
