We stayed to celebrate my partner’s birthday. In our Room, there were welcome fruits, a towel cake and cake for the birthday celebration, and a message card from the Hotel staff.I initially wondered if paying around 100,000 yen for one night in Kyoto—an easy day trip—might be a bit too extravagant, but we also received Hotel credit as an IKYU Gold member benefit, and overall it turned out to be a very satisfying stay.We enjoyed the Hotel activities and the bath facilities, and I was also happy with the daruma we received when leaving.After turndown service, the soft drinks in the refrigerator had been replenished as well. These days more Hotels don’t even offer turndown service, so I felt that Six Senses really takes care of those details—exactly as you’d expect.For me it was definitely a splurge stay, but since our satisfaction level was high, I’d love to come back again when I have the chance.
Because our previous stay was so enjoyable, we returned. The Room, service, and hot-spring Facility were all very comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were prepared in a way that really highlighted the quality of the ingredients. The sweets in the Room and the herbal tea before bed were soothing for both body and mind. It’s been a long time since I’ve slept so deeply and felt this well-rested. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but my skin even seemed to improve. I’d love to stay again.

Sustainability is one of the core values of Six Senses. This commitment is reflected in every aspect, from environmentally conscious design and construction during the development phase to operations and contributions to local communities. At the "Earth Lab" within the Hotel, a hub for showcasing Six Senses' sustainability initiatives and learning about sustainable practices, regular workshops on Japanese traditional culture and environmental conservation are held. Additionally, various environmental efforts are carried out both inside and outside the Hotel.
To ensure our guests can enjoy the wellness Facility in a safe and relaxing environment, we will be carrying out essential maintenance on the swimming pool on Basement Level 1. As a result, the pool will be temporarily unavailable on February 14 and February 15, 2027.
