    Stayed with my dog. Due to my mistake, I had made a Reservation for a different Room than intended, but they kindly helped me change it, which was a great relief. Both the Room and the in-room open-air bath were wonderful. The large public bath was spacious with excellent water quality, and I enjoyed it many times. The meals were excellent in both quality and quantity for both breakfast and dinner, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. It seems the owner will be changing, but I hope everything will continue just as it is now.

  • An Accommodation Where Both Dogs and Their Owners Can Enjoy

    Traveling can be a challenge for dog owners, so this time we chose an Accommodation where our dog could stay with us—and it was a great success. The Room was spacious enough to comfortably spend time with our small dog. The Room was very clean, and the property featured plenty of artwork throughout, making it feel like a small museum. We enjoyed the indoor bath, open-air bath, sauna, and cold plunge while admiring the stunning tile murals. The biggest highlight was the dining. We upgraded our meal plan, and it was truly excellent—beautifully prepared and delicious. We did feel that beer and other drinks were a bit pricey. The service was polite and attentive; even the international staff were very considerate, making our stay extremely comfortable. This is an Accommodation we will definitely return to.

    An autumn highlight of Hakone–Sengokuhara: the Sengokuhara Pampas Grass Field.
    The best time to visit is generally from late September to early November, and in October the golden pampas grass spreads out as far as the eye can see.

    The rippling plumes swaying in the breeze under the autumn sun create a beautiful, Hakone-only landscape.

    A scenic aerial ride of about 7 minutes by ropeway.
