    When we mentioned that it was my younger sister’s birthday, you kindly prepared a bouquet and even a message, for which we are truly grateful. You also arranged a “Happy Birthday” treat at breakfast, which warmed our hearts. Everyone at the Hotel welcomed us with smiles, and we had a wonderful stay. We would love to stay again on another occasion. Staying at such a lovely Hotel became a wonderful memory of our trip as three sisters.

  • Summer Trip

    Although we traveled during extreme heat, the moment we stepped into the Hotel amid the bustle of Arashiyama, it felt like a different world, welcomed by a white garden. We arrived early, but they kindly showed us to our Room since it was already prepared, which made us very happy. The Room was stylish and comfortable. The view from the balcony and the sound of water were soothing, and we had a wonderful time. For dinner, we enjoyed tapas and pasta while watching Togetsukyo Bridge at dusk—beautifully presented and delicious. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again in another season. This trip also celebrated my daughter, and thank you for preparing flowers in our Room for her. It became a memorable trip.

In contrast to the property’s traditional Japanese exterior, the guest rooms feature a minimalist design free of unnecessary decoration. With high ceilings, each room is designed with the view as the top priority. The bathroom area and closet are placed near the entrance, with a living room beyond the bed space—so you can enjoy sweeping views of Arashiyama and the gentle sound of the water garden through expansive windows. For climate control, we use an underfloor radiant heating and cooling system that does not rely on warm or cold air drafts. The wall behind the bed is finished in Italy’s “Stucco Antico,” while the wall by the TV is finished in plaster; subtle differences within shades of white create a delicate harmony between Japanese and Western aesthetics, offering a sense of spaciousness and refined negative space.

    Venue: Bamboo Forest Path (approx. 10-minute walk from MUNI KYOTO)

    Following last year’s great success, the Arashiyama Moonlight Path returns this year.
    Enjoy an even more enchanting autumn in Arashiyama along an approximately 1 km illuminated route, including the beautifully lit Bamboo Forest Path—one of the area’s most popular sights.
