Opened within "Shinpukan," a space that combines the preserved section of the historic former Kyoto Central Telephone Office with a newly constructed building, designed in collaboration between renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and LA-based Commune Design.
Kyoto was experiencing extreme heat day after day, but the time I spent at the Hotel and ShinPuhKan was very comfortable, allowing me to enjoy my stay without overexerting myself.The breakfast in particular exceeded my expectations. Each dish was carefully prepared, and I could really taste the quality of the ingredients. Everything was delicious, and it became one of the highlights of my stay.The location integrated with ShinPuhKan was also very appealing. During the hottest hours, I relaxed at the Hotel, then took a walk around the area once it cooled down, which made for a truly pleasant experience.All of the staff were warm and welcoming as well. I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Kyoto. Thank you very much.
