All rooms offer ocean views. Our infinity open-air sky bath with breathtaking scenery is especially popular.

Our concept is a “next-generation, hybrid-style RYOKAN with a front ocean view.” Unlike traditional group-travel Ryokan, Kaike Yugetsu does not have banquet halls or convention facilities. We aspire to be a RYOKAN for “a special day spent with the one you love.” By using the term “RYOKAN” instead of “Ryokan,” we emphasize that we are not bound by conventional definitions. In April 2025, our new Top Floor Suite opened. This exclusive room—only one on the top floor—offers an open living area with panoramic views of the Sea of Japan, along with a Japanese-style bedroom featuring twin beds. The suite’s open-air bath uses a circulating and filtered Onsen system, so you can enjoy Kaike Onsen anytime during your stay. In July 2026, an ocean-view teppanyaki counter will open at our dining restaurant, Sazanami. Enjoy a teppanyaki dinner course prepared right in front of you while taking in sweeping views of the Sea of Japan. A special dinner course from the best seat in the house—overlooking the sea. We invite you to spend an unforgettable time at Kaike Yugetsu.

A creative Japanese restaurant with panoramic ocean views, where you can enjoy conversation with the sommelier-chef.

We offer creative Japanese cuisine centered on freshly landed seafood from Sakaiminato Port. Both the restaurant and kitchen feature glass walls. Even if you are not seated at the open-kitchen counter, you can still enjoy the lively atmosphere of the cooking in action. Although this is a Ryokan, our stylish restaurant has the feel of a luxury Hotel, aiming for a next-generation style of Japanese cuisine. With an award-winning track record—including 2nd place in The whole country at the Breakfast Festival—our Executive Chef is the head chef from Matsuzuki no Sato Mura, known for highly rated dining, and we provide meals of the same high quality as Matsuzuki.

On the 7th floor, we offer a spectacular infinity open-air Onsen bath stretching over 10 meters, with panoramic views of the Sea of Japan. The front ocean-view open-air bath is an infinity sky Onsen where the horizon and the bath blend into one. With no visible boundary between the water and the sea, you can enjoy a true sense of oneness with nature. This next-generation scenic open-air Onsen features an over-10-meter-long infinity bath that seems to flow toward the ocean, merging with the horizon as if you were floating on the sea. Even if weather conditions prevent use of the open-air bath, we also have a large indoor public bath. We also provide saunas for both men and women, as frequently requested.

  • Top-floor Suite (Living Room)

Exclusive Top Floor Suite (Only One Room on the Highest Floor)

In April 2025, a new guest room, the “Top Floor Suite,” opened on the top floor of Kaike Yugetsu.
This is an exclusive suite with only one room available on the 8th (top) floor.

The main room features an open living area with panoramic views of the Sea of Japan and Hollywood twin beds,
and there is also a separate Japanese-style bedroom with twin beds.
With two beds in the main room and two in the Japanese-style room (four beds total), it offers plenty of space for couples and families.

The suite also includes an open-air bath supplied with Onsen water, allowing you to enjoy Kaike Onsen anytime during your stay.
For added safety, glass panels are installed to prevent falls, and a separate shower booth is also provided.

Sweeping views of the Sea of Japan from the top floor and private Onsen time—
experience a truly special stay at Kaike Yugetsu.

  • Carbonated water dispenser in front of the large public bath

Notice of Sparkling Water Server Installation

At the foot of Mt. Daisen in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture—home to Kaike Yugetsu—spreads one of the largest primeval beech forests in western Japan.

Rain and snowmelt that fall on Mt. Daisen seep deep underground, slowly filtering over many years as they absorb the blessings of the earth.
The resulting water contains a well-balanced level of minerals and is slightly hard soft water (hardness: 74 mg/L).
It is so clear and delicious that it is even sold in PET bottles as natural mineral water.

We would love our guests to enjoy this gift from Mt. Daisen after their bath.
With that in mind, we have installed a sparkling water dispenser in front of the large public bath, offering chilled carbonated water.

Fresh, crisp sparkling water with lively bubbles.
Please enjoy a refreshing post-bath drink to comfortably rehydrate your body warmed by the Onsen.
