A 19-room Onsen Accommodation where you can unwind with views of the Sea of Japan and the best of mountain and sea cuisine.

Kaike Shogetsu is located right in front of the Sea of Japan. As an intimate Accommodation with just 19 Rooms, it offers a quiet, unhurried stay. We hope you will enjoy the ever-changing sea views from your Room and from the bath, and savor the seasonal delights of the San’in region nurtured by this great ocean. We welcome every guest with heartfelt hospitality, wishing to ease your everyday fatigue even a little. In spring 2024, we renovated 13 of our 19 Rooms and reopened after renewal. Fifteen Rooms now feature beds, preserving a calm Japanese atmosphere while offering an even more comfortable space. We offer a wide variety of guest Rooms to suit your travel style. Recommended not only for couples and families, but also for adults seeking a relaxing Onsen getaway.

Dining Restaurant & Wine Cellar

Ocean-View Dining “Migiwa” Reopened after renovation in summer 2019. This ocean-view dining restaurant offers panoramic sea views through two walls of glass. In the evening, enjoy your meal in a softly lit setting while taking in the beach illuminated with blue lighting. At the entrance, you’ll find a four-sided glass wine cellar and a sake display, featuring carefully selected wines and our original house spirits.

Carefully crafted cuisine showcasing the flavors of San’in in every season

Savor the blessings of the San’in region—fresh, seasonal flavors throughout the year, made with carefully selected ingredients. To ensure every dish is truly delicious, we are particular about our ingredients from the very start. At a nearby fishing port, fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan is landed daily, and in winter you can enjoy exceptionally fresh live Matsuba crab. From premium Tottori Wagyu to other seasonal specialties nurtured by San’in’s fertile land, we serve each ingredient at its very best.
