    I was able to relax on the sofa while enjoying the view of Oshima from the Room.There was a massage chair in the Room, which was great for easing my swollen legs after being stuck in traffic.Oshima could also be seen from the open-air bath in the Room, and since it was a private open-air bath attached to the Room,I was able to soak in the Onsen at my leisure.Dinner and breakfast were delicious.The simmered kinmedai (splendid alfonsino) was especially well-seasoned and very enjoyable.I will stay again, and I look forward to visiting you.

  • Stay at Omuro no Mori Gyokusui

    We stayed as a family of four to celebrate our daughter’s new job.The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone in our family was very satisfied.The service was attentive, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace.The sake tasting set felt like a great value despite being so tasty.Even though I usually prefer large public baths, I was very satisfied with the in-room bath. It was clean and just the right size, and knowing there is a dedicated bath attendant made that satisfaction feel well deserved.Having raised young children ourselves, we understand how parents feel, but we also thought it was wonderful to occasionally spend time in a calm, adults-only space like Gyokusui.It was slightly cloudy that day, but the view from the Room was outstanding. We’d love to stop by again on a sunny day.

To achieve the best natural flow of the Onsen, it is essential to have the technology to account for factors such as the day's weather, temperature, and the condition of the Onsen. While most properties have abandoned the mastery of this technique in favor of machine management, our establishment has remained committed to the traditional practice of "Yumori" — Onsen artisans who manage the temperature and quality of the Onsen — since the founding of our main branch over a century ago. Maintaining the natural spring water, which is approximately 100°C, at the perfect bathing temperature is no easy task. With daily changes in weather and temperature, continuing this process throughout the year requires great skill and dedication. Human skin can perceive even a 1°C difference from the ideal 42°C as "too hot" or "too cold." Driven by the sincere desire to provide our guests with an Onsen experience at the perfect temperature, our Yumori artisans measure and adjust the temperature daily using their wrists. The existence of "Yumori" is a rare and unique tradition, even across Japan. Please enjoy this lost art of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
